Human 110 tournament help

Post by mrbrownesquire »

Hi all
I am going to my first BB tournament at Spiky and wondered if I could have some opinions on my roster, and suggest what are the best skills to give after each game.

Blitzer
Blitzer
Blitzer
Blitzer
Ogre
Thrower
Catcher
Catcher
Catcher
Lineman
Lineman
Lineman

3 re-rolls
4 FF

I quite like a passing game, but am not averse to bashing!

Any help will be gratefully received.

I assume you are playing a 110 rating tournament?
I would go for Kick on the thrower to better maximize the effect of the speed of your catchers and blitzers on defense. The Dirty Player on a lineman, to take out those nasty Wardancers, gutter runners or troll slayers. From then on a mix of Guard or Tackle on the blitzers. Block on the catchers is always a good choice either, but hey! You have 3 of them!

Good luck!

You can take a look at the human play book on:

http://www.specialist-games.com/bloodbowl/articles.asp

I think it is a nice article. I hope you enjoy reading. The articles is written for LRB 3.0. So the Ogre could get block but the other things may show you how to play in tourneys with the humies.

I would get a second thrower for sure. The opponent will get kick as well, and elves will have strip ballers. Having two sure hands guys spread out will be very valuable for you. You replace some ff and 1 lino for this 2nd thrower.

As for skills, I would get a dp before match 1, and then get kick. Rest of the matches should be guards and tacklers.

Then again, I totally suck at coaching humans so this might all be nonsense

My Bulls have the "Thin Skull" trait. After every block they make, roll a D6. On a 1+ they get ko-ed and stay in the ko-box for the rest of the game.

A second thrower sounds like a good idea, as FF is not too importants and it will be basically a lineman with passing skills if needed.
