skaven gr rolled double 2
i started a skaven team on fumbbl.
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=209282
after the first game i got two skill rolls for 2 gr. one was db 6 one db 2.
str3 is a no-brainer but what shall i take with the double.
i don't like vll and want to play all gr defensivly. so i usually take block-sidestep-shadowing-tackle. now i'm undecided to take dauntless, claw, horns, guard or maybe something completely different.
any advice is appreciated.
thx in advance

I would consider making a one-turn score, but if you're definitely not wanting too, take dauntless, it's great on a st 2 players with that much mobility. Claws and horn aren't quite effective with st 2 and keep guard for your SV (or extra doubles on linerats).

Why horns before Dauntless? Horns only work on a blitz, plus it only gives him ST 3 ... while dauntless works on both block and blitz and allow to take a shot at everyone stronger than the GR (needless to say it's almost every bloodbowl player). And of course, horns' THE skill for a second double ...zenmuse wrote:Horns or Dauntless...
Agile, can get to the ball fast... and has potential to actually knock down the ball carrier if he has to...
I tend to go with Horns first.
And if he rolls another double... Dauntless + Horns = can potentially 2 die block any one solo.

I would also opt for horns, because he says the runner already has ST3. with horns, he becomes ST4 when he blitzes, IMO a very fast and agile defensive blitzer!Coach Alex wrote:Why horns before Dauntless? I pick horns before dauntless because horns is more reliable... Dauntless has a way of not working when you really need it to...
I know that with horns... he'll be blitzing at str 3 100% of the time... can't say the same for dauntless...
And to be honest... i don't leave my GR's sitting still long enough to where dauntless could be useful when throwing a non-blitz block.
But i guess it really depends on your playing style... Horns just seems the safer first pick, while still being useful on that player.

Lol i enjoyed the post which stated why horns before dauntless, as you have to blitz to use Horns. Well in all honesty you should only be blitzing if you use dauntless as well, as i really cant se you leaving your GR in a TZ just so he can use dauntless the next turn

you seem to be ignoring the fact that your opponent gets a turn in between yours, there's certainly nothing (generally) preventing your opponent from moving a player INTO your TZ between the end of your turn and the end of his...
