Till now i´m playing highelf. I´m thinking of changing my team.
What do you think of chaos?
My team will be:
7 Beastmen
3 Chaoswarrior
1 Minotaur
2 RR
3 FF
or
9 Beatsmen
1 Chaoswarrior
1 Minotaur
3RR
4FF
And which skills should i give to the players?

tourney or league?
if it's a league, i'd say
8 Beast = 48
3 CW = 30
2 RR = 14
8 FF = 8
Build up and get the mino after a few games. You'll have a much better team.

A bit more information would be helpfull!
Is it a league or a tourney you are playing? Which rules are you using? etc.
I only talk for the LRB not for the PBBL rules.
In a league you need much more Fan Factor. I personally think a mino is a bit risky in the start with no general access. But I usally buy a big guy late....
Just take a loo at
http://www.midgardbb.com/Tactics/BBTactics.html: in the Chaos section there are few good tips to start a team and how to develop your players. Although the 3rd edition rules are used but you can get an idea....

I went for:
7FF, 70 because you need the money
3RR, 270 because you have no skills
11 Beastman, 660 because with making a lot of money the CW's will come soon enough and the Beastman develope fast. So you'll loosse a couple of games? That's normal with any chaos line up.
After game one, buy APO.
After game two and three, buy first CW etc...
Done this twice now and it really works

it´s for a tourney.
in our league are only 8 players, so i have 8 games + playoffs. We start with TR 100, so we start always with rookie teams.

In a tournament setting you will need a higher fanfactor, expecially with Chaos. They tend to lose their initial games and can suffer fan factor losses from it. A starting fanfactor of 4 can quickly become TWO!!!

not sure why you feel the need to pay 90k for rerolls since they only cost 70k.

Well, I'm a rich guy, so....
I guess I started with 12 beastman! Ye indeed twelve beastman and 3 RR's.
thanks for paying attention when I'm testing you wesleytj!

Forget the Mino- he's useless.
I'd prefer an Ogre.

Mino is not useless. Blitz him into a knot of opponents, and force them to either deal with it or dodge away. The lack of skills on a starting chaos squad can be a problem, so I suggest you foul. A lot.

The mino is not useless, i just wouldn't start a tr 100 team with one. they're not very reliable, and you get enough st with your chaos warriors.
i also have to disagree with draco's strategy (even the corrected one); there is no reason you can't make a competitive team from the start, 12 beastmen is not necessary. having some chaos warriors will make a big difference.

That's the good thing about this game. We all have different strategies!
But being 70 k each and very much needed, I think buying RR's straight away is far more important than the Chaos Warriors who will join the team soon enough. And for that a high FF is also a must.
I have had some good results now with the team, so I'm very pleased.

Since it's for a tournament, I wouldn't bother with the mino. He's not useless, but he's a liability. You need re-rolls more urgently than a big guy. Sure, the mino has skills but he doesn't have block.
2 chaos warriors
9 beastmen
3 re-rolls
FF 5
or
1 chaos warrior
10 beastmen
3 re-rolls
APO
FF 4
Don't tie your warriors down on the LOS. Once one of them's got the ball most opponents will find it hard to get it lose . Especially if you cage him.
It might even pay off to take
11 beastmen
4 RR
APO
1 FF
But re-rolls only work during your own turn and ST4 helps you hold on to the ball in your opponent's turn as well.
In league play, max out on FF and re-rolls.

Don't ever start with a BG with a chaos team.
Unless you think you've got too many useful players in your team and too much reliability of course...
Long-term team: go for maxed beastmen and rrs.
(not applicable to your situation here...)
Medium term:
Check
3 CW
8 BM
2 RR
8 FF.
Short term:
4 CW
7 BM
2 RR
4 FF

I played an invitational with Chaos a month ago with 110K. You could spend points at the start of the tournament to "upgrade" your players with skills traits and statt increases (very expensive!).
I had
Mino with Block
2 CW's with Claw
2 CW's with Mighty Blow
the rest Beastman with Mighty Blow
Didn't end too bad either! 2 wins a draw and 2 narrow losses!
Got most cas as well with 25! (10 in a game against halflings

)
Very funny tournament!
