So tonite is each teams second match of the league.
The only extra skill either of us have got is an AG + 1 on one of my Amazon Linewomen.
Any tips on how I can get a much needed win?
It appears that the slowest H.Elfs move as quick as we do, have better AG all round and overall better AV. Am I relying purely on errors by the flash gits, or have I got any sort of advantage?
I'm planning on just going hell for leather, try and get his numbers down before he does the same to me..!
Any advice would be great,
regards Craig.
Fingers crossed...

Re: Amazon v High Elf
You have a much much better team than he does right now, as you can knock down almost all his players, and he has to hit with the blitzers only, or pray for a pow.nobbynobbs wrote:So tonite is each teams second match of the league.

You should go for the blocking game, especially with those delicious Amazon Blitzers, Blodge from the get go aint too shabby.
Just make sure you are not getting outmanoeuvered by his players with a bit more MA than you, and he will start going through rerolls to make 3+ dodges without dodge skill, or panicky passes.
I would say this game is in the bag....

The real advantage you have is dodge. Sure you got lower av but to knock you down he needs straight pow or both down. So your top priority should be removing the dragon warriors, or anyone with block, from the game.
Other than that you should aim for 2-1, scoring on 8th turn of your offence and scoring another after their 2 turn td. You should be able to outbash them since he can't knock you down. That AV8 of theirs isnt that hard to break.
Good luck!

^^ what everyone else said. even without block on many players, you have a 1/3 chance of knocking him over (55% on a 2d block). That's pretty darn good odds, certainly better than he has against you. Then factor in that you likely have 4 blitzers with blodge, and he probably only has 2 blitzers with only block... If you have an elf standing next to you in your turn, HIT HIM

Thanx all for such good advice.
As crazy as it sounds, it was the 1st 0-0 result of the league!!
He rolled a 1 on the second GFI in the end zone, and i'll failed a pick up, with a re-roll, 1 square from his end zone.
These were the match high-lights, (or is that low-lights?).
One of those matches, i guess...
Thanx folks,
Craig.
