Dwarfes on a Tournament
I would like to play with dwarfes at the dungeon bowl.
I´m playing with them a few games, but i don´t know which skills i hacßve to give them in a tournament.
I´m thinking of mighty blow for the two blitzers and guard for one longbeard ( he is standing in the LOS ).
But who gets the other ( and which skills )?
Help a rookie dwarf player ( not a rookie Blood Bowler!!! )

I prefer to give block to a runner first and make him my ball carrier.
After that Guard as many Players up that you can and cage, cage, cage!
If the tourney allows more than once skill after each match, block on both runners is tempting. I know a lot of people prefer mighty blow, but I find GUARD, much more useful.
But then again, I'm not very good

The same as stick_with_poo_on_the_end but i would go for guard first and then block on the runner.
Guard is good.
Just watching your opponent getting sadder and sadder as he browses your roster with lots of guard is invaluable
If you have some skills to spare later in the tournament:
Mighty blow or guard on slayers or a dirty player somewhere will do good.

A lot of players look at Dwarves as overpowered once they get several Guards and a couple MB, but remember too that you are NOT going to win any scoring fests. You're just too slow. So let your opponents complain, but do what you need to do as dwarves - grind, grind, grind and knock down/out the opposing players. Foul mobile stars that could pop the ball carrier out of a cage.
On defense, make sure you spread out a bit initially, again because of your lousy overall speed. A couple Long Beards deep in the widezones will help slow down passing teams. Trying to overstack the LOS will work sometimes, but against a skilled coach you'll find you lack the ability to stop breakthroughs in that case. Better to go with the minimum number on the LOS and force the opponent to blitz open holes.

Last night i played against ogres with my dwarfes.
2 Trollslayer
2 Blitzer
2 Runner
5 Longbeards
3 RR
3FF.
I played two matches. First game 1:1, second game lost 1:2 because of this shity throwing team mate with the gobos.
Last week i played agianst them 1:1 and a 1:0 win.
But i played with
1 Trollslayer
1 Runner
2 Blitzer
6 Longbeards
Deathroller
2RR
1FF
Because at the dungeon bowl is one starplayer allowed for normal price.
Now i don´t know what to do.

Well, you don't really need to spend on the Deathroller. I think you had the right idea with the player setup minus the Deathroller, though. Try this:
2 Troll Slayer 180k
1 Runner 80k
2 Blitzers 160k
6 Long Beards 420k
3 RRs 120k
4 FF 40k
If you want to start with more FF (or have a slightly hardier team AV wise), you can trade 1 Slayer for another Long Beard. Obviously the Troll Slayers are in there to help you deal with strong opposing players. This is why you don't NEED the Deathroller, as much fun as it is to squash players already laying down on the job.
Alternatively, you can go with no runners at all, and use Blitzers to handle the ball. This would allow you to minimize the number of AV 8 players on your team and make your players incredibly difficult to injure. I still highly recommend at least one Troll Slayer until your team can get several Guard players.

The problem at the dungeon bowl in Düsseldorf is that i can take five skills. One after each game.
So i think about:
After 1. Match: Guard for one Longbeard ( LOS )
2. Match: Mighty Blow for one Trollslayer
3. Match: Guard for second Longbeard
4. Match Mighty Blow for second Trollslayer
5. Match Guard for third Longbeard
Because the longbeards have lo MA and i can put them in the "chaos" or in the "trouble". And the Trollslayers for "cleaning" the court

What Apo? I've never seen a Dwarf tournament team with an Apo.SolomonKane wrote:That's exactly the right way to build Dwarf hitting power.
Mind you be very careful about planning out your Frenzy hits with the Troll Slayers, though. You don't want them ending up in the crowd where your apothecary can't get to them.

I think that i don´t need high FF on a tournament, i need high RR and manpower ( dwarfpower ). So i will take two runners, because they are the first target of the opponent players.
But i don´t know exactly a good position on the field for the players.
I start with
----|-- LLL --|----
----| B-----B|----
---T| ------- |T---
----|-L---L- |----
and the two runners in the backfield on offense.
----|-- LLL --|----
----| ------- |----
----|B-----B|----
-LT-|------- |-TL-
and the runners in the backfield.
