Using Kick for flings?

I've read through your Fling Guide, Galak, and I have to say the tips for a starting team are par excellence. It's worked very well for me on FUMBBL (though I admit I cherrypicked a little bit playing a vampire and goblin team in my first two matches, respectively).

My question is, after rolling doubles for my team's first two skills (Pro on a tree and Kick for a fling), how do I go about using Kick effectively? Do I kick it long against slow teams and try to run my flings to the ball, or do I kick it short so my flings don't have to run so far and might still get the ball?

Kick long, hope that your opponent can't pick it up and then toss a fling there to score ;D. Kicking short might be an option if opponent sets his formation so that the other flank is almost empty.

Pro for a tree to help ttm, I assume? Block would have been solid choice too.

I guess Pro is usefull for guys who can't RR. Take Root is nasty and since you will mostly have 3db, block can be passed, and hell yeah, Pro gives you better chances on blocks too.

And for better TTM I would opt for PASS o_0

On most Big Guys ... I'd say Block and on a Treeman it is still very very tempting.

I like Pro because it helps with 4 things for Treemen:
1) TTM which Flings do a lot of
2) Blocking
3) Standing Up (which Treeman have to do once in a while)
4) Take Root

As for Kick ... yeah I kick long and hope to be able to throw a Fling to put back pressure on the ball or even get a quick score.

I certainly prefer Pro, for the reasons listed above.

Also I tend to like Pro on Wild Animals over Block, for similar reasons to Take Root/Standing up on Treemen.
