Orc team, any good?

Hey

Had a load of success with my Skave team since I downloaded the Skave Playbook (In fact the first match I tried out some new tactics I beat the Lizardmen 5 - 0!!!! :puke: ), and then beat another skaven running team 2-1 :D . But anyway, I wanted to dust off my Pink Orcs (Pink is my lucky colour, and my Orcs won a tournament for me!) and see how they did, so, is this team any good for tourney play? its' 1 million gold piece treasury

4 X Black Orc Blockers
4 X Blitzers
1 X Thrower
2 X Linemen
3 X Re-rolls
1 X Fan Factor

Any good?

Cheers

looks ok to me. a lot of people will suggest extra players and/or and apothecary, but imo that's silly. you're orcs, mostly av9. field the best 11 players you can.

in fact, if anything, i'd suggest looking into the possibility of adding a troll. sure, they're really stupid, sure they can't use rerolls. however, they are also st5, mightyblow, and regen, and the really stupid isn't a big deal as long as you don't blitz with them, and do their move last so if he causes a turnover it's no big deal. just assume that he'll fail to do anything about 3 turns a game or so...the other 13 or so, he'll be pretty useful.

it would look exactly like yours, except exchange a reroll and a line orc for a troll.

you could also switch one of your line orcs for a goblin. they are often more useful than a line orc, especially if you have the troll too, because you might be able to pull off the insane 1-turn score with them.

Yeah, I did run a team with 12 players, but I almost never need the 12th player unless I'm going up against someone like Undead. Though I did try an Ogre out once in this list, but with 2 re-rolls. Frankly I wasn't that happy as the Ogre just didn't work for me and no thrower screwed me up, but I am more than happy to re-try him in his team. Although having the thrower is mental

No having the thrower means having sure hands more than anything. I think it's important.

Also, current rules no longer allow ogres for orc teams. your only big guy available is the troll. if you didn't like the ogre, you probably won't like the troll either.

Oh right, didn't know that. Not a fan of trolls either it is true, but that is just me

Anyone know when the new rules are being released?

Cheers
