New doubles possibilities for Bull Centaur in LRB5.0

I managed to get a doubles skill for a bull centaur after her first match. We are using LRB5.0 and doubles isn't needed anymore for Stand Firm or Frenzy, i.e. the conventional LRB4.0 doubles skills for BC. It's her first skill, and I might want to take Break Tackle or Block, but it would mean wasting the double-option.

Here's what I've been thinking as a first doubles skill for the bull centaur:

1. Dodge: Nice to have, if I'm going to take Break Tackle next.

2. Side Step: If I take this, I could take Frenzy as a second skill.

3. Diving Tackle: The ultimate safety-player. It's usually hard to blitz BC out of the tackle zone, so dodging is needed and DT comes in.

4. Catch: To help the hobgoblins to throw/hand-off the ball to the bull.

5. Leader: Chaos Dwarfs re-rolls cost 70K and I only have two of them. This would be a kind of short-term fix for it, but bad considering the BC:s development. Still an interesting option.

6. Waste the doubles and choose normal skill (block/break tackle).

What option would you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for any advises.

Dodge, keeps him on his feet and combines well with BT which is a must-have skill for a BC.

Almost certainly Dodge or Jump up. I think they're the best two skills for most General/Strength access players.

True Bully can only JU then Block on a 3+ but that's pretty good imo.

why not HMP as an option. If he/she is a back field safety once the ball is loose pick it up and buzz it all the way downfield

I don't think that's a wise choice on a fast, expensive positional which only picks up the ball on a 4+. IMO if you want HMP then wait for a hobgob double...

Dodge gets my vote too, at first akill you will get block very soon then its either breaktackle or tackle depending on your prefernce.

No, they can't.

No they can't. Unfortunate but it's not like they need anything else.

Dodge is the way to go. Had one in my last league with ag3, surehands block, frenzy. Was near impossible to bring down with all the gaurding dwarves backing him up and could reliable blitz through and dodge away if need be.

Block, break tackle are skill he'll have to get if he already didn't have them (unless you roll 11 like I did).

What a beast! That ios just unrealistic. :)

Dodge is good though, even if not paired with AG3 AND frenzy. Break Tackle/dodge combo is just plain perfect. Add block as third skill and he is a force to be reckoned. Every skill after that is just icing on the cake. :)

Dodge. If you afterwards ever get a second double, get him diving tackle (would be temped taking it right away, but dodge is better).

Not sidestep or jumpup? I suppose it depend on how AG oriented the league is.
