When playing Undead at a TR 100 tournament (LRB5), what´s better? A 12 man squad or 11 players with an additional Ghoul on the team?
2 Mummies
2 Wights
3 Ghouls
4 Zombies
3 RR
1 CL and 1 AC
or
2 Mummies
2 Wights
2 Ghouls
6 Zombies
3 RR
1 CL
I´m not a fan of Skeletons (too squishy) or less than 3 rerolls.

Neither
I prefer the roster I used successfully at the Warhammer-Cup.
2 Mummies
2 Wights
2 Ghouls
5 Zombies
2 Skeletons
2 RR
0 FF
3 AC
3 CL
The skeletons are only used as filler in case you lose players to injuries or ejections.
EDIT: 2 rerolls can be enough, and normally you get at least a third because of the ACs and CLs. With Undead you have to play conservatively anyway, so the 2 RR are not such a huge problem. And with Guard on the Wights and Mummies, you get a lot of good blocks. I very often had 3D blocks with my Mummies.
EDIT 2: And you will need 13 players, as you will be fouling a lot (at least you should) and with Undead you don't want to become under-manned. You are slow anyway, so you really need the numbers or defense will become very hard.

I would go with:
2 Mummies
2 whights
3 Ghouls
3 Zombies
2 Skeletons
3RR

as a COMPLETELY different philosophy, you might try...
2 mummies 22
4 zombies 16
5 skeletons 15
1 rr 7
1 ff 1
which only adds to 610, meaning you could induce count luthor.
so you'd only have 1 reroll, but you'd have 3 st5 guys, one of which was more or less unstoppable in a tourney setting. if he goes down, you're screwed, but that's unlikely.
if you feel too nervous about having only one guy with any kind of reasonable chance of handling the ball, you could downgrade a few zombies to skellies and upgrade one to a ghoul, whose entire job would be to collect the ball and hand it to luthor...
something like this:
2 mummies 22
1 ghoul 7
1 zombie 4
7 skeletons 21
1 rr 7
0 ff
still only 1 reroll which is harsh, but still might be a viable roster, if you know how to handle luthor.

Only works if the tourney allows inducements though (which from the sounds of it, a lot won't).

@Wesleytj: No Star Players allowed (thank god), so no Count Luthor.
@Mootaz: I would be nervous if the Kick Off Table wouldn´t grant me that third reroll and I would have only two RR. Even two-die/three-die blocks can go wrong if you don´t have Block on your player. And there are always those nice double skulls.
It´s an interesting strategy to be able to win the kick-off table reroll events and compensate for the lesser number of rerolls. But I want my 3 rerolls right from the start. Imagine if you play Dwarves (or similar slow, tough team), the Kick Off-table doesn´t come up with the desired results and they grind it out until Turn 8. That would be something I´d be nervous about.
@Kithor: That line-up was on my mind, too. If you plan to foul a lot a Skeleton is perfect for that and then you need 12 players (or maybe even more). But is fouling still good? I wouldn´t get Dirty Player anymore, it´s not worth it (IMO). If you don´t foul a Skelly seems to be a liability with AV 7.

here's the thing with fouling with undead.
your skeletons cost 30k. most of your opponents players will cost more. selectively targetting high value opponents is very much worth the effort, even if a skelly or two gets ejected in the process.
bummer about the no stars...tho i noticed you said thank god. but that luthor roster would be fun.
to each their own!

2 whights
3 Ghouls
3 Zombies
2 Skeletons
3RR
Amen!
3 RR
3 Ghoul
12 men (reserve)
3 zombie for the line
To be honest. In my opinion, this is the ONLY Undead roster at TR100

No fouling isn't that powerful anymore
But that was a lineup where I put in 12 players and 3 RR.
And for playing Undead you need to controll the game. So getting into the situation that you have less players than your opponent you'll have a big problem. Because on the one side your players are stupid(at least the zombies) for dodging and on the other side you have a low movement.

I think fouling is still worth it, as long as you do it with cheap players. I don't give DP to any player, just foul with whatever skeleton or zombie is handy. At the Warhammer Cup I fouled a lot and I removed on average 1-2 opponents from the field (as a CAS), and lost 1-2 players to ejections. But I had 13 players, so I could always compensate that. And my opponent lost much more in team value than the 80k my Zombies cost.
