6+4 on a block werewolf
Second skill choice: 6+4.... Would ya' take MA, AV, or a skill, which one and why?

+AV, cause going to AV9 cancels out one of the assists in the inevitable fouls that will land on your Were. The second time I roll 6+4 (with either Werewolf) I would take the +MA on. I'm a firm believer in making tough werewolves that can absorb hits, because a lot of coaches target them.

While I agree with your reasoning, would not dodge make it harder to be downed? Maybe it's just the teams I've played against, but no one has threatened my WWs past a gang-snotling foul before he had dodge. I tend to use my wights as middle linebackers and keep the weres deep (safeties) and use their speed to swoop in and take the ball carrier down.
In addition to the above, what would you give to a zombie for a first skill? The ubiquitious block, dp, kick, or something else?

Dodge would probably be my 31SPP choice. Dodge is a LOT easier to get than +1AV and getting to AV9 is massive for protecting a player. AV9 Players tend to have a long lifespan, especially if you drop Dodge on them later on.Vomit Lickspittle wrote:While I agree with your reasoning, would not dodge make it harder to be downed?
The first Zombie I have would either be DP or Kick. Depending how I felt at the time, but with the way I like to play Necros on the defense I don't care so much about how the ball lands.

No arguements from me on this one.TuernRedvenom wrote:another vote for +AV, going from 8 to 9 AV is a huge difference!
Just wish I could roll a 10 on my weres.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I love using my wolves as bigger, hairier gutter runners so would love to be able to give them MA 9. However, as they are regularly twatted to kingdom come, got to join everyone else and say +1 AV.

I'll just join in the chorus and sing along to the AV tune.
People have forever agreed that their squishyness is the main thing wolves have going against them. Well, that and the fact they tend to age young.
With ageing gone, all thats left is their tendency to go SPLAT.
Thus: AV

My Bulls have the "Thin Skull" trait. After every block they make, roll a D6. On a 1+ they get ko-ed and stay in the ko-box for the rest of the game.
