Goblin Team Development

Tried out a goblin team for the first time on the weekend. Didnt have too much of an idea what I was doing, so I took a team I had seen posted on here somewhere. It consisted of:

2x Trolls 220
1x Fanatic 70
8x Goblins 320
3x Rerolls 180
1x FF 10

Total 800

I was playing against rookie chaos, and so I got nobbla and a bribe as inducements.

The game went surprisingly well. I won 2-1 in extra time, and had moved fully half of the chaos team into the casualty box (including 2x deaths and 1x SI with stat loss) by the end of the match. Meanwhile, I still had 8 players on the field at the end and no permanent damage. I got quite a few SPPs although no actual skill rolls, but my fan factor did go up.

Anyway, now I have a TR 81 goblin team because of increased fan factor, and am probably playing a rookie team again next game, meaning there is no way to get Nobbla+Bribe again.

So what am I supposed to do with this team now? Without the 200k inducements, my team is actually looking kind of weak. I realised in the first game that I need more players, since a goblin team with 11 players is kind of lame, especially when one is getting sent off on the first drive. But if I buy more players, I get less inducements, and am going to have to win just using rookie goblins and a single drive with a fanatic.

tl;dr - My team started great, but now I have no idea how to play game 2. Help ?

TR? Are you playing LRB5? If you meant TV, FF has no effect on TV. Where are we starting? Inducements are deffo LRB5.

Nope, FF does count towards TV in LRB5.

Ok....

Anyone other than Snew want to have a shot at answering?

Whoa! He's got me pegged already.

I was going to try and be helpful too. :-?

You could always try buying some secret weapons players and keep as enough of an underdog to retain the bribes. I always love a well placed bomb. Especially when thrown at a prone star player from the other team

Or invest in a looney, chainsaws can be almost as much fun as bombs.

Fungus, bomber and scrappa = 190kgp and alot of mayhem.

Alternatively, you could double up on a secret weapon by taking bomber (60kgp) plus a merc bombardier (40+30kgp). Bombs away

Too bad you can only pick A skils for most merc secret weapons, otherwise I'd advise taking hail mary on the bombardier

And totally illegal as you can hire 2 Star Players maximum. ;)

With regards to the problem in hand.

you've got 190K to play with right?

Ok so that's a Bribe + Fungus. So you'll have a fanatic for 3 drives, that's what I'd do.

He didn't gain a skill roll from the first match. If he banked all his money, he's still got a 200K but he's too stupid to realize it.

I actually have 220k. My reroll on winnings came up with a 1.

I already posted above that I can buy more players. Im just a bit concerned about leaving myself with rookie secret weapons and no inducements.

Also: You're stupid.

This sounds like a good plan. Thanks.
