TR110 Norse tournament team
I'm thinking about trying Norse out at the Waterbowl weekender and, having never played them before, wonder if anyone can give me some advice on the following lineup (I think it's TR110)
2 Beserker
2 Runner
Thrower
2 Ulfwerener
5 Lino
3 RR
FF1
Thanks. pw

Snow Troll in tournament play ... give him the Mighty Blow skill as one of your skills ... Dwarves and Orcs become crunchy halfings (ie AV rolls of 7 break their AV).Levinas wrote:Interesting, the Snow troll certainly looks good on paper. I might try that list out next time I play (although I don't much like the linemen figures so I think my five-man version would look nicer!)...

Thanks for the ideas
I have a norse team which I am getting ready to build. Couple quick questions. I am looking at the LRB 5.0, and I notice that the team I have doesn't quite match up to what is in the book.
I have the linemans and throwers figured out.
But I also have catchers and blitzers. The LRB 5.0 says runners and Berserkers. I guess the blitzers could be the Berserkers.
Any ideas for the runners?
And what in the HECK is a Ulfwerener?
Any help would be appreciated.

Played against one of these "things" with my Orc team. Claw+MB. What a pain in the butt. This "thing" was always in the way. Assigning a lineOrc as a friend doesn't work that well as he just gets cut to pieces. And if I managed to get away, frenzied Ulfs or Beserkers would push players in the "thing's" TZ to get whacked again.Tritex wrote:Totally agree - recently discovered Snow troll kicks ass!!GalakStarscraper wrote:Snow Troll in tournament play ... give him the Mighty Blow skill as one of your skills ... Was a fun game though. And luckily the damage against my team was minimal.
But now the "thing" has block ...

Yes, I was lucky. He wasn't very lucky on armor rolls with the Snow Troll. It was a pretty even game. AV7 on most Norse players is pretty unforgiving.dwarfrunner wrote:You talking about your game against Suikei? He has been destroying teams lately. He is brutal to play against. I am surprised you came out so unscathed. You were luckier than his other opponents.
