Double 6 on a High Elf Catcher
The subject points out what the problem is.
It's a new High Elf team, 6 games total under it's belt. One of my catchers on his second skill up (1st one was Dodge) rolled a Double 6.
Now there are obvious advantages to this, most teams will need an assist to get a single dice block on him, but I'm wondering if the cost in TV is worth that?
If it makes a difference I'm planning on having two Catchers optimised for scoring, while the other two catchers will interrupt that slighilty with Pass Block.
Yes a Str4 catcher but is it worth A - The TV increase & B - the delay in picking up the other skills essential for his role in the team?
I can't decide and need some opinions.

STR 4, catch and dodge is huge. get some guards to support him and you have a strong running game. buy other catchers for the passing game.
If you really want to focus on the passing game you might want to consider nerves of steel instead. It will keep your TV down and NOS is essential for the long passing game. Just remember that a single reciever with NOS is going to get creamed with the blitz almost every time.
Thoses are the only options I'd consider +1 STR or NOS. personally, unless you already have a second catcher with NOS i'd go with the STR.

What, not even on a unskilled Skellie that's taken 2 -1ST injuries?falconeyed wrote:NEVER EVER under any circumstances turn down ST increases on anything.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

OK OK I'm convinced
I think I should have put my Asbestos suit on before posting
I am definitely focusing on the long pass with this team.
After the game I was able to recruit my 4th catcher, which now gives me 2 unskilled catchers, one with NoS, and now 1 with Dodge & Str 4.
My experiment with a High Elf team is going OK thus far. I'm certainly enjoying those 2+ rolls on just about everything

HAHAHA, that was my next comment ironically. He is a marked man now. So that watch won't have to count long.
Ironically my wardancer has side step, jump up and strip ball. And people still dont deem he that dangerous. They just haven't seen him in full action yet. If he had ST4, he wouldn't live 5 seconds
