hi guys, i have in mind to play with a human team on tourney but i haven't any idea about the roster and the skill to give to player.
i have 1.100.000 gp to buy players.
i think this roster:
-4 blitzers
-4 catchers
-1 thrower
-1 ogre
-3 linemen
-3 rr
or discard a rr and pick a 4th lineman.

skills(are 4 normal skills and 2 double): guard to blitzer(4) ,ogre and lineman or if i choose the 4th lineman leadre to thrower for guard tolineman.
what do you think about?

For the love of all you hold dear, DON'T trade down to 2 RR for a 14th player! I don't think you need 13 or 14 players. 12 should be enough. I don't think I'd max out on Catchers either. Buy as many rerolls as you can afford.

I agree with Snew, you don't need so many players. I'd go with:
1 Ogre
4 Blitzers
2 Throwers
2 Catchers
3 Linemen
3 RR
2 FF
Skills: Block on Ogre(d), Guard on all 4 Blitzers, Guard on Lineman(d)

Or you could go without the Ogre, you don't NEED the Ogre.
4 Blitzers
2 Throwers
2 Catchers
5 Linemen
4 RR
1 FF
Skills: Guard on all 4 Blitzers, Guard on 2 Linemen(d)

But I'd say the first roster is stronger, because you can give the Ogre Block.

BTW: I consider 2 Throwers a "must", as you need reliable ball carriers with Sure Hands. Having only 1 makes him a huge target. Ever tried to pick up the ball with a Lineman in the rain against Elves?

4 rerolls atleast...and buy apothecary and players from start, rerolls are to expensive to be brought later on...esp the 70k once...

Moo's 1st roster is the way to go. I'd do the skills slightly differently though. I'd use the doubles for Block on the Ogre and Dodge on a Blitzer. Then for the 4 normal rolls, I'd give Guard to the other 3 blitzers, and Block on a Catcher. That all depends on your playstyle though.

1 Ogre
4 Blitzers
2 Throwers
2 Catchers
3 Linemen
3 RR
2 FF
I took that roster to the Brassbowl and did ok with it. Skills I'd take:
Ogre -> Block (definately)
Blitzer -> Frenzy
2*Blitzer -> Guard
Thrower -> Block (needed when facing off against Skaven and Wood Elves)
Blitzer -> Dodge

I will say...

1 Ogre
4 Blitzers
2 Throwers
2 Catchers
3 Linemen
3 RR
2 FF
Skills: Block on Ogre(d), Guard on 2 Blitzers, Dodge (or Jump Up or Side Step) on a Blitzer(d), Block on 2 Throwes (you now can use them when defending)

I've used Humans at a couple of tournies now and not taken an ogre.

I would say 3 catchers are really useful and I have found I do better if i blodge up a couple first skills

from what you have put you get all the skills for every game?

Humans can also make good use of kick

So
4 blitzers
3 catchers
1 thrower
5 linemen
4 rerolls

Though I do like the look of wes' suggestion

might have to get my ogre painted up ;o

Again, this is not for a league, this is for a (ressurection) tournament.

use the catcher as assist on a block?
i choose the skills to play humans like we, to book the space of opponent's team and make harder his manoeuvre, attending the moment to blitz the ball carrier(hopefully :wink: )
i think that with an hard first line of guard i can compensate the ag3 of human

The idea with giving the catcher block isn't so he can assist, although he can I guess. The idea is that it makes him harder for your opponent to knock down.

And yes, putting guard on the blitzers is a great way to help limit your opponents movement options. However, I wouldn't put the guard blitzers on the line. I'd put the ogre and 2 linemen up there. The 4 blitzers should go in the wide zones, with the guard ones on the inside, on defense anyway. What you do on offense depends on how your opponent has set up.

Blodge catchers, a stripball blitzer and a tackle blitzer are always good for tournaments.

Guard across the blitzers and ogre is great for taking a blocking game to orcs and chaos, but it is not so good for sacking gutter runners and wood elves.

Personally I'd recommend two throwers what ever line up you take. The Sure Hands is worth the money for when your strip ball blitzer pops the ball loose into a couple of TZs.
