Dwarf Runner Development

Post by Urb »

I'm playing dwarves in a small league of, dwarves (that's me) chaos, nurgles, lizards and wood elves.

I've just gotten my 3rd skill on a runner and was wonder what you guys think I should give him? He's already +str and block. I have 3 gaurding line dwarves. No one else on my teams has a skilled.

Stripball, tackle and kick off return seems the obvious choices to me.

Thoughts?

I'd go with Kick Off Return or Fend.

Fend is what I took as the 3rd skill on my runner that had +ST and block already.

Tackle is good

Kick off return might be good, but I'd take it with the other runner.

Kick may also be an idea, or try a passing skill for a change. Like pass, he can help carry the ball to the EZ and then pass it to a blitzer or the other runner so that they also get some SPP.

as i see, it, the +ST singles him out for running/catching than any passing stuff. i think choose something to enhance this aspect, such as fend, tackle, strip ball, or maybe consider Nerves of Steel.

as a reciever, he should need a couple of people to take him down (and if they dont, theres a good chance theyll have a St4 dwarf in their backfield with the ball)

if you have 1 of your men soaking up 2-3 of his, it makes for an easier march down the field.
