Saurus dilemma....

A Saurus of mine recently skilled up. He rolled a double. Reason to celebrate, but:
The rest of the team consists of:
5 Sauri (1 Break Tackle)
5 Skinks (1 Sure Hands)
3 RR
Apo, a CL, an AC
What to do? I dont want Leader, as with Sure Hands and 3 RR I think I have enough for now. Jump Up is out of the question with AG 1, and Sure Feet and Sprint are just not my thing.
I could go for Sidestep, but I can already take Stand Firm on a normal roll. Dodge is nice, but he needs 9 more SPPs for Break Tackle. It would make him a nice cage breaker, though!
ATM I am thinking of ditching the double and taking Block, just as the team needs the basic skills now, but a Blodge Saurus or Dodge/Break Tackler is also tempting...
Advice or alternatives?
Cheers!

I'd take dodge now and be patient to build him up to the Blodge, Break Tackler you really want in the end.

I agree with draco here! Hope for bad kick and give him the ball. That are only 3 TDs...

I would echo Guipetto and say Dodge!

Hm, you should take Leap ^^ Just Kidding
I Think you should use this double to take dodge or side step, Dodge is the better choice, but Side Step the meaner one

I don't like Side Step on a ST4 player who could get Stand Firm on a normal skill roll. Seems like a wasted double to me.
My preferred option is Dodge, too. In league play, you should have 2 sauri with Break Tackle. Dodge/Break Tackle is a great combo.
If you feel like you need more Block on your team, just forfeit the double. Good short term decision, but worse in the long run.

Personally, i'd go for sidestep, that way you get immediate use of the skill. Give him dodge, and it may be another 6 games before he skills up again

And if you give him sidestep it would not take 6 games? Can you explain where he would get his SPP from Rob? I don't see a difference between Dodge and Side Step except that Dodge will keep him on his legs a lot better.

For Real? I love Side Step ^^ And if you have Side Step, you don´t need Stand Firm anymore ^^ It´s the best chance to rough up the line of scrimmage when you are defending, simply put him in the middle and then... guide the big boy where you want him (funny, every player I know put their big boy right in the middle.. oh well ^^)
If you doesn´t like Side Step, you should try Pro Elves for a Saison or Two ^^ Side Step and Throwing... their only weapons ^^

Pro Elves and Sauri play very differently, last time I used them anyways...

You mean you never played a passing game with 6 sauri?
Seems the way to go these days. Pick up, pass catch TD! and all MV 6 so 2 turn touchdowns for the grasp!

Actually, I do play Pro Elves.
I think you've missed my point: I absolutely love Side Step !
But only on players without ST access. I think that Stand Firm is as good as Side Step on average. There are situations when Stand Firm is a match winner, in other situations it's Side Step.

Draco, with sidestep, you get returns the next game. You can keep him close o the action, thus using sidestep to infuriate the opponent, or add assists to a ball carrier.
Dodge? Pretty much useless UNTIL he gets break tackle.
