Hello to you coaches from all around the world.
I just started a new Undead Team for a Rookie Season.
I will play the following teams: 2 x Necromatic, 2 x Goblin, 2 x Wood Elf, Human Lizardman & Chaos so I started out a "fast" scoring line-up.
4 x Ghouls [Dodge will make them very mobile]
2 x Wights [Block is always godly in the begining]
4 x Zombies [AV8 makes them tough L.O.S players]
1 x Skeleton [Worst player in the squad, but needed to get the rerolls]
5 x RR [Maybe to much, but cost 140K after start so it's better to save for the mummies]
What do you think of this starter team? Cheezy?

No Mummies? ¡No comprendo! Head getting fuzzy ... can't ... understand ... no ... <urk> ... Mummies!
Seriously, you risk the curse of Amon-Hotep for such blasphemy.

what? no mummies?
You don´t need 5 rerolls ...
My starting lineup for undead is 2 mummies, 2 whights and 2 ghouls, 5 zombies, 1 skeleton, 3 RRs and FF2.
I just started a league with this setup and I´m 2-0 after two games in (vs. dwarves and HE) added a zombie (thanx necromancy) and 3rd ghoul to my roster, FF is up to 4 and have 60k in the bank.

You can upgrade Zombo to ghoul loosing 3ff, or quit a RR and start with another ghoul, but basically this is the better starting team you can have.

I actually think you are being very brave. Sort of like starting a wood elf team with only one positional, the Mummies will gain SPP's once they join the team. that is a given but when they join they will have experienced players around them to funnel meat down the line.
let us know how it goes.
5 rerolls will mean you score TD's
brave choice!!

What about 1 wight, 13 zombies and some re-rolls?

I will let you know how it goes. I'm not the "bashy" coach. Can't get it to work so I rather run för TDs and the mummies will be there just to take care of the LOS nothing more.

Doesn't that put you 10k over?

yup. I started with FF2 it seems, didn´t look it up and trusted my memory. Shouldn´t do that at age 35
and back to topic: who needs 5 RR anyway? Unless you´re constantly making 1d blocks, attempting crazy dodges or throwing long bombs with an Undead team, you won´t need them.

Everyone needs rerolls, atleast 4 is what I aim for my teams. 5 is good, better than 4 and not overly done.
With 5 I can use atleast one to pick up the ball in pouring rain. I can dodge with my wights more often. I can do 1d block without beeing to afraid. I can pass the ball in very sunny weather. Maybe use a zombie to score becuse zombies needs skills. And the best thing - I don't have to buy new ones for 140,000.
Undead team is one the few that can have 5 rerolls in the begining and still have 6 postionalplayers, and that 4 Dodgers and 2 Blockers. Undead is probaly one of the best teams in the begining.

Rerolls don't usually work for me. I think my games go better after I run out.

Uh huh, but you still don't get rid of the ones you have, do you?
