What should i take?
The rules are LRb5.0 and you get 3 random skill choices before each match; we play three matches.

In addition, what would you take in a league play? Same amout of cash to spend, but no skills to start with.

Thx

What do you think of these?
  • 2 Mummies
    2 Wights
    2 Ghouls
    6 zombies
    4 Rerolls
    FF 4
or
  • 2 Mummies
    2 Wights
    3 Ghouls
    4 Zombies
    4 Re-Rolls
    FF 1
or sth. between that.

Skills:

(type 'o player: skill, double)

mummie: guard, block
wights: tackle (if there are dodging opponents), mighty blow
ghouls: block, mighty blow
zombie: block, dirty player, guard

For characteristics increase: Take every ST+ that you can get. Take +AG on wights and ghouls and maybe on mummies. Take +MA on mummies, wights & ghouls.

I think, i would start the same way in league play.

How about this:

2 Mummies 220
2 Wights 180
4 Ghouls 280
5 Zombies 200
3 Re-Rolls 210
1 cheerleader

I'm even tempted to use this in a league (maybe switch the ghoul for a reroll)

As for skills isn't a mummy with break tackle not awesome to get into a cage?

What does random skills mean? A chosen player gets a random skill? Or a random player gets a chosen skill? Or a random player gets a random skill?

That would be the dumbest idea of a BB-comissioner ever!

Looks good to me. For skills these look good:

Mummy = Guard, Block
Wights = Tackle, Strip Ball
Ghouls = Block, Sure Hands, Strip Ball, Guard
Zombies = Kick, Block

That's a fairly standard tourney rule, and one I don't mind at all. Though it does kinda screw some teams (Lizardmen) more than other (Amazon).

Well in that case, I would take only 11 players to try to maximize the value of the random player getting the ball. You'd rather have a position player get the random skill over a lineman getting the skill, right?

I don't agree at all. It sounds like fun to me. It sounds like it could be fun. At least you'll get some skills you usually don't play. I think it would test the mettle of good coaches to get random skills.

That would be a random player gets a skill (no doubles)...

Teluriel,

In a res tourney or a league, I really like your roster.

Zombies are a better deal than Skels at the same price (at least for the first 3 or so), but if there's a 10k difference, then I think Skels are better after the first two. If Skels are 30k and Zombies are 40k, then maybe take your roster (with 4 Ghouls), but drop the Cheerleader and two Zombies for three Skeletons, or drop the Ghoul and pick up a Skel and Zombie instead (or take out the CL and get two Zombies). That gives you a bench against the bash, and lets you foul with impunity on speedy teams. Skeletons make great benchwarmers.
