HE team development

At the half of 2nd season of our league my HE team looks like:

Blitzer - Block, Dodge, Side step - 21 SPP
Blitzer - Block, Tackle, Strip ball - 23 SPP
Thrower - Pass, Safe throw - 4 SPP
Lineman - Block, Dodge - 23 SPP
Lineman - Kick, Guard, -MA - 20 SPP
Lineman - Guard, Block, -MA - 16 SPP
Lineman - Wrestle - 9 SPP
Lineman - Dodge, Block - 16 SPP
Catcher - Catch, Block, Dodge - 16 SPP
Catcher - Catch, Block, +AG, Leap - 37 SPP
Catcher - Catch, Niggling, Block, Dodge, +AG - 33 SPP

RR: 3
210,000

I win most of my games but however I do find increasingly hard to preserve players against the bashing teams (MB, Claws etc) - 8 dead players in 19 games so any advice will be appricaited.
Besides the poll question do you think that development of dedicated Sneaky git/Dirty player lineman will be usefull? What is sugested development pattern for new and existing players? Untill now Wrestle player was bit of dissapointment and I thought that his next skill should be Dauntless...
next 5 matches are against 2 x Humans, 2 x Orcs and Lizardmen

Personally, I'd buy just two linemen and save to get a fourth catcher and re-roll. Unskilled linemen are of value on this team, as they are AV 8, and more expendable than your current linos.

Also, I might consider dropping some TV somehow. Even with 11 players, you must be giving up a ton of inducements each game! Those inducements probably get put into chainsaws, wizards, High Strength Mighty Blow stars, or Bribes to keep Dirty Players and Secret Weapons around.

If you have to fight that too often, your team will be decimated. Look around your league and figure out what TV keeps you within 100-200K of most teams and try to acheive that. You will go up against the occasional wizard or chainsaw, but you should win those games.

2 lineman can be a good solution...
Regarding inducement acctual value of tema is 1.680K and there is issue of 2 types of team in league. First group are "old" teams transfered from previous season and second a new (first season) teams.

There is no big problem with new teams as even with 300-400k inducement I can cope with them. Main problem is with "old" bashing teams (Chaos, CDwarves, Orcs, Dwarves) as they are killing machines. This is why I think about training some foul specialist so that I can remove some of those high AV killers.

Regarding a lowerin TV I honestly dont see which player should be dumped? Maybe wrestle lino but I planned that his next skill will be dauntless so he will either become hero or die in attempt...

I wouldn't lower TV. That happens naturally with at least one player MNG almost every game (At least that's my experience with HE). I would get a Lineman and Thrower. You don't need a 4th thrower. They are too expensive to sit the bench, and you don't want 4 catchers with 7AV on the field. I only ran 2 catchers at a time anyway, but I have to admit that it'd be hard benching any of yours. Since you have the money, you might want to consider a RR and a player though.

I was actually quite pleased with wrestle on my zons and I had an idea of getting a couple of wrestle players then backing them up with a SG/DP to foul the players being brought down.

true, but zons start with dodge which makes nice wrestle/dodge combo. With HE, player with wrestle has much smaller chance to gather SPP, compared with player whou gets block or dodge as 1st skill...

Do you mean that you run 2 per drive like offensive/defensive pairs or that you have only 2 in whole team?

I agree with this. Fodder is a great buffer against the older, bash-machine teams you mentioned.

2 per drive, offense or defense (unless I'm short handed or I only have 2 or 3 turns to score).
