Hi!
I'm writing to get some tips out the clever minds of all the brilliant coaches out there.
I play a necro team in my local league consisting of six teams which are orc, d-elves, nurgle, norse, human and my necros.
The team has played 16 games and has a 13-3-0 stat so far, so it's a quite succesful one. However, I win my games on a fleksible semi strong team that can pretty much intercept any drive by opponent and the rush downfield to score on his drive. However my own offence is quite weak. I usually play a fleksible cage where I have a few players outfield to distract the opponent D. I rarely pass the ball and rely on solid skills. My team is:
2 x fleshies Block
1 x wolf block, dodge
1 x wolf block, dodge, side step
1 x wight guard
1 x wight dodge, tackle
1 x ghoul block, side step
1x ghoul block, sure hands, regeneration (yes that's right!)
1 x zombie +ST, + AV
1x zombie guard
1x zombie kick
1x zombie
Both my Golems are close to second upgrades and so are the wights.
I build the team slow but solid so many players will have a third upgrade soon, and one wolf it's fourt!
I need set-ups and game plans for offense. But tips on development are welcome too....
Cheers

No you don't. Give the other teams a chance, otherwise they'll go home and play on their PS3s.DamianTheLost wrote:The team has played 16 games and has a 13-3-0 stat so far, so it's a quite succesful one.

I second tenwit's answer, you need to write a strategy guide for newbies playing necros.
Necros are a pain to play against, my stats against our local necro team (myself playing woodies) are 1-3-2 and my general stats are 16-6-4.

You've had quite a successful team, so I'm not sure why you're worried.
Let me ask, what strategies have you been employing so far on offense? What do you do for the first few turns after the ball has been kicked off to you?
I'm curious, since I have a slightly less illustrious record (4-2-1) with my Necros so far, though my only losses came in the first two games against skill/agility teams (Skaven and Wood Elves) and my tie was a terrible, terrible fluke where my one GFI roll failed... twice.
Damn you Nuffle!
So please, let me know what is it you're currently doing on offense?

I can't get the quote thing to work, but the regen came from a random award to a random player from the winning team of the season. This was one of the skills/mutations offered and it landed on the ghoul! I will get back to a general stragegy guide soon I promise, but I play defense best. Offense is where I lack the skills really...
