Need Names for Players

Post by mattgslater »

Lizardmen: The Huatzintlan Redscales
Colors: Red, Black, Yellow
Themes: Washington Redskins past & present, Aztecs, San Diego State, funny things that sound like Aztec names
-- Krox x 1: Monty Zuma (it's a San Diego thing)
-- Saurus x6: Monte-Cuauhtemoc (Monty Coleman? Close enough?); still need 5.
-- Skink x 7; Anqantlantlel; Artmonq; Qlintinportiz; Tzeqenbeq; Sniqatoq; still need 2.

Halflings: The Whoville Oilies
Colors: Black, Blue (they're Halflings, so this way it'll all match)
Themes: Fossil-fuel products.
-- Treeman x2:
"Greenhouse" Gus Fjoomer (aka Fjoomer the Boomer)
Need 1

-- Halfling x 14:
Kerry Scene
Paulie Styrene
Vasily Nejelli
Gus O'Leane
Perry Finn
Pedro Liam
Natty Ralgas
Jett Fyool
Rocky Fyool
Sal Furikasitz
Cy Rafoem
Need 3, no more guys named "Paulie" (I guess I could have a "Paul E.")

Anything come to mind?

What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

I like these guys. I think D. will have to be Dee to suit my "full names" rules.

Others I've thought of:

Halflings:
Cole Powers
Otto Motivoyle
Hy Drocarbon
Knox Ensox (NOx & SOx)

You've got to work in Acid Raymond.

You know Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman ?

I'll be darned if I can figure out how though.

I know it's not very fuelish. But neither is Greenhouse tree. So Isee him as the other tree...

Ace Idrayne?

Gus Fjoomer (gas fumer) has the nickname "Greenhouse" because, well, he's got leaves and is the size of a house (well, not really, but it's a nickname). Maybe "Gus Fiumze" would be better?

@ BB Guy: I like Tex Aco and Chev Rongas. (Chet Vrongas? Chet Vronoil? Chet Vronoilco?)

I could also have Dutch Royal (or Royal Shelldutch). I've already got a Pedro (Liam), and I'd like only one, the same thing as Paulie. I could do a variant on it: I've been kicking around Peter O'Kimmackel. Should I go with Flur O'Carbon or a more Southerly variant: Flor Ocarbon?

Ooo...

Moe Teroil!

That's better than Otto Motivoyl, and that lets me make another joke with Otto (alas, Otto Mobil and Otto Parz aren't close enough to my sensibilities). So how else can I use Otto?

Or I could keep Otto Motivoyl and then have Moe Bilexon.

Choices....
