When do you kick your players?

After playing alot of LRB5 games and see teams go sky high in TV I have to have some of your experinces when to kick/fire players to hold down the TV.
Some teams, like my TV270 dwarfs don't even get to have cash to replace old ones with new fresh ones.
And some teams, like my wood elf (lost wardancer and a catcher, got -MA on thrower and -AV on catcher against a stinking khemri team with hack enslah doing 2/8 injuries) still have some cash to replace, but I'm not soo sure to do that becuse of having a One-Turner wants you too keep team small and get inducements like apos and wizards and even the two good stars, Jordell and Sidewinder.
So some teams are really better when the roster is small!
Get me some good experinces about your teams development.

Hrm, what do you mean a stinking Khemri team?
It was mine and they don't stink. Their just old bones, no flesh.
Jepp, kicking players is vital,
either they die or you need to kick a few that dosen't get anything special.

I kick them once they get a Permanent Injury that reduces there effectiveness, or enought Niggles to cause them to die if they fall over.
What counts as reducing effectiveness depends on the team, I will keep Zombies with -AG but not Throwers! I tend to keep players with -Av and stick them on the line and I almost universally fire players with -Mv or -St.

Zerak your time will come for my revange!
The question is more when the time is right, not just injured players getting sacked but at wich TV counts as "best".
I have teams with high TV but there not always as good as there on papper, when opponent gets his goodies (inducements).

I play goblins. The answer with them is "as soon as you can afford a new goblins and still be able to replace a troll in case of 'accidents' next match"

I too struggle with this dilemma...
I have a TV2.33M Pro Elf team and I have an AG5, dodge line elf now with a double niggle!
AG5 dodge is a great asset to the team and now he has these niggles, should I sack him?
Also, I have had a catcher move into the 80's for SPP and has had 2 MA increases and one decrease due to injury... MA9 is great, but he's an expensive catcher considering.
I have finished 3rd in my league and am about to play a finals match tomorrow night and am giving away $600K in inducements to a Chaos Dwarf team... could be nasty!

I think your cash flow pretty much dictates how casual you can be with the career of your injured players. Both at start up and once you are well into spiralling expenses like ClayInfinity if you drop the player it may mean that you either no longer have an adequate bench, or you start your next game with journeymen. If you are somewhere in the middle - where you have enough cash to easily cover your injured player, and you have all the re-rolls you want without having to pay spiraling expenses, the decision is easy - you're better off with a healthy player - assuming they're skill-less.
Of course it becomes trickier when you have AG5 running around the pitch, or in my case I have a ST4 zombie with block and a niggle. That lil' sucker will be staying with my team until he either gets a -ST or dead - the boosted strength just makes him too valuable. Even if he takes multiple -AV rolls I would still field him as he is very good at taking down key players, and bolsters the line.
Essentially I think the decision is economic - do you believe you are getting good value for money for your player? In my case I really think that I do. One of my mummies has block - so at this stage I would keep him even with -AV - still good value for money for mine (oh and I just spent all my treasury in a futile attempt to defeat ClayInfinity to make our finals

)

Yes, but would you keep that ST4/Block Zombie if he had 2x -MA?

I think the issue is getting a bit confused.
If the question is about a plain vanilla player with nothing extraordinary, I think it is a simple matter of economics. When does what he can do not measure up to what it costs to keep him.
For exceptional players, that becomes much more difficult as the AG5 of ST4 player adds more to the team. Essentially he is worth more.
Personally, I treat my players like I treat my cars, I run them until they won't run any more. For example, ClayInfinity's double niggle elf is a problem that I am pretty sure will resolve itself given enough time. He will end up dead.
Until then, let him do what he does best and try to start training a replacement in the mean time.

I always kick my players before and after a game, and preferable during a game too.
And as to firing a player from the roster? Well I have had the luck not to need that excuse, my players only either mng or die...
sigh

For some reason, I've generally had good luck avoiding stat losses. From what I've seen others do and how I've seen it work, my philosophy is:
Replace Immediately
-- Loss that makes him useless (usually lost ST, sometimes AG or MA).
Replace When Convenient
-- Any loss/niggle on a player with no skills or who's not near a skill.
-- Loss that you can feel on a player you can rebuild.
Don't Replace
-- Great players with a loss you can work around.
-- Good players with a loss you don't mind.
-- Niggling Injury, except on a replaceable rookie. It'll work itself out. -AV is usually similar, but not always.

this is always a judgement call. Is the player helping your team more than he hurts it? Is an elf worth keeping if he has block, Mighty Blow and guard but a -AG? How about a Black Orc Blocker with -ST but he has +MA and block and guard? Who are you playing against, what else is on your team and how much money do you have in the treasury?
The bottom line is, if the player helps more than hurts, keep him. If he hurts more than helps, lose him now. A -AG elf with no skills is a goner. Same with a -ST BOB with no skills.

Someone has said that TV around 180-220 is the best. If its higher, do some of you kick players to go down in TV.

One thing I like about Goblins is the whole team is so cheap you can have two skills on everyone and are only just hitting Spiralling Expenses!
