Just after some thoughts and advice on the following roster. I can play any of them, is there any thing youd do different and which would you go for?
Cheers
Zog
Dark Elves:
2 x Blitzers - 200k
2 x Witch Elves - 220k
1 x Runner - 80k
6 x Linemen - 420k
2 x Rerolls - 100k
30k banked for apo
(Could drop a WE for a Blitzer and the Runner for another lino and take the apo/another reroll from the start)
High Elves:
2 x Blitzers - 200k
2 x Catchers - 180k
1 x Thrower - 90k
6 x Linemen - 420k
2 x Re Rolls - 100k
Skaven:
4 Gutter Runners - 320k
2 x Storm Vermin - 180k
1 x Thrower - 70k
5 Linerats - 250k
3 x Re Rolls - 180k
Apo - 50k
Dwarves:
2 x Slayer - 180k
2 x Blitzers - 160k
2 x Runners - 160k

I wouldn't start with the Witches (unless it's a short league). You can pick them up later and they skill up very quickly.
Swap both for the Blitzers and use the 20k for a 3rd reroll apoth or swapping a lino for an assassin.

I prefer the 3rd Catcher to the Thrower.
They're much better players to have on defense and you're not going to struggle to score initially.

Agree with PubBowler re: the witches. On a developed DE team, they're a huge asset. On a rookie team they're a liability. ST3, AV7, Frenzy, and no block is not a good combo without proper support.
Start w/4 blitzers, skill them up, then work on witches after that.
I'd do this:
4 Bli 40
7 Li 49
3 RR 15
1 FF 1
Not as flashy, but definitely more solid. All AV8 to start, 4 guys with block, decent speed, and 3rr to start.

Yep, wesleytj's roster is what I would use with Dark Elves. Unless it is a very short league, where you may want to have fun with other positionals. But wesleytj's roster is the most solid.
Get an apoth, then the two Witches, then an Assassin, Runners Rerolls, in whichever order you see fit.
For the High Elf team, I agree with PubBowler. Get the 3rd Catcher and drop the Thrower. At the start, any player can pass well. And you want to give passing SPPs to all your linos so that they can get their first skill as soon as they get an MVP. An extra catcher will help those linos get that SPP much faster. And those once they get a few skills, those catchers are a menace. Get the Thrower a bit later. They skill-up quickly enough when you use them as dedicated throwers.
Your Skaven roster is fine. I like it.
The Dwarf roster looks OK, but I'm no Dwarf expert. I'd be tempted to start with an extra lino instead of the Apoth, but I think that your roster is fine as is.

The Dwarf one looks fine, but I should have said that.
I'm not qualified to judge the Skaven one but it looks close to other starting rosters I've seen.

I agree about dropping the WE on the DE roster. I'd lose them, take the extra blitzers and use the money to buy another reroll. Then buy the apo, then the witches. You could even drop the runner on the roster and pick up another lino and bank the rest for the apo.
I'd take the extra on the HE as well.
Skaven looks good. They'll start out fairly strong.
The dwarves look ok.

The league is likely to be a fairly short one, 6 weeks plus knockout at the end. The reason i put the apo on th Dwarves is in my current league ive played 5 matches and had 4 dead Dwarves and one with - 1 Str!
Im leaning towards the Dark Elf team (although High Elfs are looking sweet to), for something different (ive played Skaven and Now Dwarves in leagues).

Is that a game a week or two?
If one: I recant my advice on Witch Elves, start with them.

League rules are here:
Starting teams will be 1,050,000 value.
Minimum 1 fan factor.
Wizards are allowed.
Star players will KEEP any injuries sustained and will be posted up on the wall in the shop. (so please report this if you use and abuse one Wink )
You can play upto 2 matches per week, the average result will be worked out from this. (fractions will be rounded up)
Winning will get you 30 points, a draw will get you 15 and a loss will get you 5.
So it's always better to play games and lose than to not play at all.
BONUS POINTS:
Winning by 2 or 3 more TD's than your opponent will grab you an extra 2 points.
Winning by 4 or more TD's than your opponent will grab you an extra 4 points.
Causing 2 or 3 more casualties than your opponent will get you a bonus 2 points.
Causing 4 more casualties than your opponent will get you another 4 points.
All bonus points are added to each games points i.e. BEFORE any averaging if you played 2 games.
Ive now changed my mind altogether and am plumping for some Greenskin bashing fun! C'mon, this is BloodBowl afterall. Thinking along the lines of:
4 Black Orcs - 320k
4 Blitzers - 320k
1 Thrower - 70k
3 Lino's - 150k
3 Re rolls - 180k
1 FF
Could possibly drop a lino and take the apo right from the start. However, this is reliant on me having my Orc team in my possession by monday.
Cheers

I think I'd go with the line up you have and make the apo the first purchase. On defense, put the linos on the LOS and use the BOBs as linebackers until they get some skills. Block, stand firm, mighty blow, break tackle. Those tend to be the skills of choice for them. On offense, you can load your LOS with the BOBs to knock players down.

I'd drop either a lino or the thrower and pick up a 4th reroll.

Line Orcs suck, I never take them. 90% of the time a goblin will do more for you.
With 1.05M, I'd do this:
4 Bli 320
4 BOB 320
2 Thr 140
2 Gobbo 80
3 RR 18
1 FF

It would have to be the thrower, as we need ff1 at least, and i like sure hands to much for me to drop him, the amount of times i fail a 3+ pickup is unbelievable!

Isn't that a 2+ pickup, since they are AG4?

Orcs are 3 AG. I think I'd go with the thrower as well. Sure hands and Pass comes in real handy. Orcs are a natural for a West Coast offense. Short pass to a blitzer, get a lead block from a BOB, have a couple other blitzers run interference for you, 2-3 turn TD.
