Wondering...

When would you take +AG on a Troll or Black Orc...?
~
Last season, My Slann Kroxigor Rolled Doubles (for Block) then Rolled +AG... Which I skipped for Guard.
His third skill was +AG as well... So I was left wondering "What If"
What If I had an AG3 Krox with Block??? That could be a real killer player!
(If it was an Ogre even better... I would have happily taken the first AG boost and would have ended up with an AG4 Ogre with Block!)
~
Now I'm playing Orcs and I have three BOBs and a Troll close to a skill... Their first in all circumstances. If they rolled AG, would I take it?
Or MA even... Would I take that???
What would you do?

I'd take AG on a BOB everytime. A 3 AG BOB can wreck havoc. He can dodge, he can pick up the ball, he can drive your opposition nuts. He can be a fullback against light teams. Build a cage around a BOB ball carrier and dare that Wardancer to come on down.
On a 1 AG troll.....I think I'd still skip it and take a skill.

I'd rather take break tackle in most cases. But I would seriously consider taking +AG on a saurus, they have enough MA to make it viable.

I wouldn't take +1AG on either.
Not enough MA on teams that have plenty of AG3.
If you were talking an Ulf then I'd be interested, MA6 and AG3 makes skilling them up very easy.
I'm not sure about a Saurus, Skinks are so good at ball handling I'd be suprised if it were worth theTV.

I would not take AG on saurus. They have AG1 and would only give them AG2 what is still not enough to use.

I would take the AG+ if it bumped the player to AG3 minimum, the difference between AG1 and AG2 is not enough for it to be worth it. But a BoB, Ulf or Bull Centaur would be awesome with AG3, it has little to do with movement, and more to do with mobility and versatility.

The +AG isn't worth it in my opinion. I'd much rather have block, guard, mighty blow or stand firm on the BOB.
The troll is almost certainly better off with Guard, Stand firm etc too.

I used to play against a 3 AG BOB. Trust me, give him the ball, form a cage with the other BOBs around him, it'll take 5 or 6 turns to score, but it's almost impossible to stop him once that cage is formed.

First of all, I absolutely agree with dwarfrunner - the difference between AG1 and AG2 doesn't really matter.
In case of getting AG3, like on a Black Orc, Bull Centaur, Ulf and such I think it always CAN be worth the value - but not in each and every case.
For example, in an Orc Team: If you have two blitzers with ball handling/running skills or AG increase there's not really a need to get another ball carrier.
Same with MA. A Black Orc or Troll with MA5 can almost keep up with a blitzer, that's cool. On the other hand you might have linemen to do this and if you have your Black Orcs and the Troll on the LOS anyway, they'll do fine with their low MA. And remember, an alternative to +MA is +AV...*g*
So it comes down to what you get out of their potential.

If I had a BOB with Block and then rolled a 10 (6/4, not 5/5), I'd take +MA. If roll #3 was an 11, then I'd take +AG. Not under any other circumstances.
Never with a Troll.
I'd consider it on a Saurus only if I had a really veteran team and wanted more gimmicks.
