"Advances on a Bull centaur, and Minotaur

Hi all. It seems that the skill choices sticky is a bit dated....so.

I've just ticked my 3rd advance with 1 bull centaur.
Block, break tackle.

And my minotaur just picked up his 2nd...and rolled a 10.
Juggernaut.

(my 2nd centaur is a crowd pusher with frenzy, and juggernaut.....fuggernaut?).

Here's my thoughts.
-The BC tends to act as a safety, so tackle seems ok.....but a CD team is already riddled with tackle .
-I could use a 3rd mighty blow player, and MB is great for smashing receivers too.

-The minotaur actually does a fair bit of blitzing for me, so MV could be great, on the other hand the possible av of 9 is very tempting for a foul-bait big guy.
-Stand firm would be grand, as it lets him crowd push with impudence.

Any thoughts out there? Any CRAZY ideas. ....I've considered sure hands on the BC, but I'm looking for someone to talk me into it.

+AV for the Minotaur. As they are to begin with they are very fragile. Being AV9 at least makes sure he's not a 'soft' target to be beaten on.

And Mighty Blow for the Bull Centaur. Sure Hands is nice on a AG3 player, but Bull Centaurs are a little shaky at the whole 'picking up the ball' business even with a reroll.

Sure Hands for the BC, for sure! This is my preferred and proven skill route for BCs. They make awesome ball carriers.

For the Cow, you have many options, including +MA, Block, Pro. Block would be the standard conservative choice.

Hope this helps

I'm guessing it's not a double 5, thus Block isn't an option. Though if it is a double 5, then Block is a no-brainer.

I still vote for Mighty Blow on the Bull Centaur and +AV for the Minotaur.

Strip Ball, Mighty Blow, and Juggernaut are great, as is Frenzy. Don't underestimate guard- you can get assists into places that your dwarves can't reach.

Sure Hands? Not my style. Just live with using re-rolls if your bull needs to carry the ball!

Still, my choice would be Strip Ball if your league isn't Sure Hands heavy. Otherwise go Tackle or Mighty Blow.

I wouldn't take Strip Ball on a STR 4 player, when he gets a shot at the ball carrier it will almost always be 2 die. Tackle or Frenzy are better options then (it's better to get the knock down then a strip).
I like frenzy on bull centaurs, combined with their speed and strength this makes them very difficult to counter, especially when he already has Break Tackle.

Stand Firm on the BC. Nothing like ST4/Block/Stand Firm for a cage-front, and this guy is very mobile! Also, since you can't block him off a guy, you'll see AG3 linos offered up frequently by man-down opponents, which is great for this guy, as he can dodge OR bash. If you don't do that, take Mighty Blow.

For the Mino, I would take a skill over MA or AV anyday. 30k is a lot to pay for AV, and MA isn't terribly important here, as he doesn't run the ball and you have Bull Centaurs. Juggernaut?

Tackle or MB on the BC (and whichever one you don't pick take next).

+1AV on the mino will make him less of a target but I would take Stand Firm to keep him safe near the crowd.

@mattglsater: I think the mino already has Juggernaut.

The bull has a clear choice to me - ball handler or blitzer.

Ball handling is great for bulls. Sure hands means a 75% chance of getting the ball. Once he's got it he's fast and strong so really difficult to stop.

Otherwise I'd go for either mighty blow or frenzy to improve his bash potential.

Thanks for all the input. Here's what I've done.

I went with MB on the bull centaur. My final reasoning being that MB is useful vs EVERY team I play against. (tackle being only useful vs. the fast ones...and my team already has tackle in spades)

The Minotaur took stand firm. It seemed like the safest bet to keep him crowd pushing.

I thing my Frenzy, juggernaut BC will strongly consider tackle as his next skill.
