Undead v CDs (inducements)

Currently i'm 4th in our league (5-1-0), having dropped 1 game but have 2 games in hand over a couple of the top 3.

I have 330 (or 370 if i retire a Zombie) in inducements v the league leader's CDs this evening.

I've all 4 Ghouls (2 skilled up with Blodge MB and Blodge SH)

Neither Mummy had Block yet but one has Guard. The Wight playing has Guard. One Skelly has Block! I have a deep bench with other skellies and 2 zombies.

I have a Wight missing the match so was thinking about employing a Merc Wight (90+50+50+50) with [Block + Regen] plus Guard and either M/Blow or Strip Ball and still have over 100 for a Babe or two etc

or i could do a Wizard plus Chainsaw type

or go the whole hog (with a bit of cash) and go for Count Whatisface

Any thoughts guys? Tempted with the Vamp

Thanks, d

I played some matches with Count Luthor on my Undead squad (still in LRB 4 though!). Found him very usefull. I used him to win some fights but also when I wanted to rush in for the TD. Using his Hypnotic Gaze and a blitz by any other player, I created a free route for the ghouls to rush through.

Never played undead vs CD... so not sure if he's usefull against them.

As the underdog you cannot use cash to increase your inducements (unless you use more cash then you get as default inducement value). Transferring cash to your petty cash cash stash means it will count for TV and as such will decrease the inducements you get for the TV difference.

Ahh - my bad. Drop a Skelly then. Thanks. d

I think he'll want a stally game with few Tds, so I think the wizard is your strongest bet.
Merc wight also sounds good. Remember it's +30K for merc, not +50K.

mmm and a Merc can only have one additional skill. So a MB Wight would be 170K

Wizard is starting to look good in any event. Can you reroll the Lightning Bolt if you roll a 1?

Nope.
So - fireball 4 or more players, and your odds are better for taking at least 1 man down than for a lightning bolt.

Usually, I nuke the cage when I have a good blitz lined up. If the ball carrier gets blasted - GREAT. If he doesn't, I'll blitz him from whichever corner got blasted.

Cheers

Thanks Martin. Its going to be a bit of a wing & a prayer then. Hopefully i can stop him scoring more than once with the Wizard breaking the cage. I would expect the BC to have the ball so Strip Ball rather than MB might have to be the order of the day.
