DE League Team

Ok, in our little league im playing DE and started with the boring roster:
4 Blitzers
7 Linemen
2 RR
10k Banked
I played against HE and lost 3-0 (nothing worked) and Dwarfs, 3-0 victory, killing 3 dwarfs (yes, everything worked).
The next game I´m likely to play either Orcs or Underworld (the other one immediately afterwards though) and for the game my team looks like this:
3 Blitzers (no additional skills)
6 Linemen (2 with Block)
2 RR
Apo
70k banked
1 Blitzer has MNG and -1AV, 1 LM has MNG.
Question is now do I buy a LM for the game or do it with 2 Journeymen and save for something else (what??), supposing I don´t get any inducements.
Should I keep the -AV blitzer or sack him asap?
Any advice welcome.

Keep the blitzer.
Play with Journeyman.
Safe the Money for a witch elf.

Ouch thats a tough start - but if its any consulation in my DE league I lost the first two games and then didn't lose for another 25 games until I got the final. You'll recover I'm sure.
That Blitzers got to go imo, although he might be good for LOS fodder against weaker teams for a couple of games.
I wouldn't buy another LE, you've got enough and need to save to 2 WE, 1 Runner and a replacement Blitzer.

Don't ditch the Blitzer! Never ditch a player for -1 AV. -2 AV, maybe, or -1 and a niggling injury even (if he doesn't have anything good), but not for -1 AV. Just play him like you'd play anybody else, except maybe don't use him to soak up the blitz. If he dies, he dies, but until then he's better than a journeyman and you need to start building volume in your team.
I'd buy a Witch as fast as possible, maybe pausing to get an Apothecary but that's it. You already have an Apoth, so hold onto the 70k until you get 40k more to with it.

I'd agree with not ditching him. If it was a rookie Witch Elf I'd say ditch, but as long as you've still AV7 or over you should keep them.
Losing agility, strength or movement is another issue.
I would advice replacing him when your team is more developed, however. So try not to skill him 'too much', and focus more on the other three Blitzers when possible.

A Blitzer with -1AV probably becomes your dedicated Thrower, assuming you're trying to press a firm AV8 face to your opponent and avoid taking a Runner as a Thrower. Plus he'll still be useful as a free safety in your own backfield, running down and smashing those annoying Human and Woodie Catchers.
OTOH, -1AV on a rookie Amazon Linewoman = fired immediately.
So its a matter of perspective.
Definately go with Journeymen and save your money. You just MIGHT want to offer a contract to one if he does well, and if not then he was a freebie.
