Rat Ogre or 3 Linerats?

So my Rat Ogre got squished (again) and is now SI'd and AV6 (yup, two -AVs)
I'm wondering if it makes more sense to replace him with 3 line rats for the same cost. Afterall, I only really use the ROgre as a speed bump/distraction anyway. Aside from using his Frenzy to setup a one-turner attempt, I can't think of any crucial ability he provides against the TV130-TV175 teams in my league. I've got enough money to replace him... but should I?
So should I keep the gimped ROgre, buy a new one, or keep my TV low and replace him with linerats to act as speedbumps?

I would say keep it, its still str5 with prehensile tail etc etc so can be useful against certain teams like elves.

I was never happier than the day I dumped my rat ogre and started to play without.
Unless it was after the games we started winning without him.
Sack the bum and hire linerats to fill. You'll be happy you did.

Keep it.
If he dies or gets more cripled you can think about replacing him later...

AV6? Get rid of him now. 150TR that will spend most of his life off the pitch.

AV6? Maaaaan I wish I play you this year!
You may as well ride him out the season. If things are pounding on the rat ogre, they aren't pounding on others. Maybe dump him for the playoffs.

Normally, I say truck right on through an AV hit and don't worry about it. But two AV hits on a Rat Ogre is different. That guy's horribly expensive and will go down hard every match. Can him the next time you face a bash team, but if you can field him for a couple of matches against ST3, then go ahead. And if he goes up and gets doubles, just keep him.
Build a Dauntless/Wrestle lino (a Linerat, not a Gutter Runner, though Dauntless/Wrestle is a good GR combo too (scary w/Leap) ... you need ST3/Dauntless also) and a Block/Frenzy lino to do what the RO used to do. Cheaper, almost as good, without the crazy liability of a super-expensive Frenzy AV6 Wild Animal without Block.

Fire him. Hire a new one. Worst thing that could happen would be you keep him AND he gets a skill AND it turns out to be a Doubles or a stat (even +AV). Then you're stuck paying premium for a skilled RO who is still a speedbump compared to a rookie RO.
Fire him. Don't replace him. Sock the cash aside and hold the decision for a game or two. Try to pull a match or two against a higher-TV ST3 team, and use your inducement money to get a Merc RO with a skill. Try before you buy.
Fire him. Buy the Linerats. Or, if your roster is short without hiring then rely on Journeyman Linerats to fill the roster for a game or two. Hire any that get SPPs. Try before you buy.
Keep a AV6 RO? Not worth it IMNSHO.

Keep TV low, retire the ROgre and add linerat sacrifices as needed
Normally I would have said, buy a new RO. But if you are really only useing it as a speed bump, well, 3 lineman will serve you much better in that aspect. (compared to an av 6 RO player)

A high strength Frenzy guy is excellent for Skaven teams. On offense he opens room for GR's to flood the back field by having an effect on the defence set-up or actually making room by blitzing (which is always iffy with a no-block, Frenzy, Loner, WA), and that's pretty good. On D he makes an excellent speed bump superior to any linerat thanks to High ST, AV8 and Prehensile Tail. And if he hits doubles on a skill a RO adds a lot of punch to any Skaven team.
Granted, an RO is very expensive in terms of both treasure and TV, but worth it.

fire him. Keep TV down.
If you got really low TV you can just hire one as a merc. Then you don't need to care about getting any injuries
