Hi, i'm going to have a another bash next year with Dwarfs. I took them to a tourney for the first time this year. I did ok but found them really slow (no kidding!!) and difficult to use for that reason.
So, they're coming out to play again in a the YBBL Season 2. 10 - 12 game league and, if i qualify, the playoffs.
I topped our league with Undead this season but couldn't make the finals because of other comittments. I think i'm going to miss the Ghouls though.
My newbie team will be mixing it with any team from season 1 that want to re-enter. So i'm looking forwards to using the Deathroller

KOR and Passblock & Sidestep on the runners.
Guard / MB is never dull whilst you pound and grind the opposition into the dust.....
OIC, you meant dull for your opponents.....

Personally, I wouldn't be taking Pass Block on Runners.
Fend is a better choice.
Side Step is a nice double but Sure Feet is also worth a thought.
As for Blockers, I tend to steer away from MB in favour of Stand Firm and Grab, just as effective at winning games and I find it more interesting.
Diving Tackle on doubles.

My extrapolation from what I've seen work with Dwarfs:
Linemen (3): Longbeards. Guard, then Stand Firm. Dodge on doubles.
OLBs (2): Slayers, but maybe Longbeards or Runners.
Slayer OLB: Mighty Blow, then Stand Firm or Guard (depending on how much you trust your positioning; Guard is the better OLB skill, but SF makes crowd-pushing safer). Doubles: Ignored on first roll, Dodge or SS on second.
Longbeard OLB: Guard, then Mighty Blow. Good if you have an offensive Runner and like the idea of developing a Slayer at safety).
Runner OLB: Block and an unusual advance required. Dodge-Block, or Block-Guard, or Block and +MA. +AG or ST makes one a safety, though.
ILBs (2): Longbeards. Mighty Blow or Stand Firm, then the other one. Diving Tackle on doubles, unless the league is very bashy; then go Side Step or Dodge.
CBs (2): Blitzers. Stand Firm, then Grab. Dodge on doubles.
Safeties (2): Runners or Slayers.
Runners: Block, Accurate.
Slayers: Mighty Blow, Juggernaut. Doubles: Diving Tackle.
Returner (1, maybe): Runner. Block, KOR.
Nickelback (1-2, maybe): Longbeard. Stand Firm-Grab. Doubles: Diving Tackle.

Thanks Matt
I feel like i'm handicapping myself with Dwarfs!! I know how good they are in the right hands. But i have a feeling that if i'm not careful i'm looking at a lot of Draws.
Thanks for the heads-up fellas. I'll keep you posted how i get on.
