Help with Newbie and team play

Post by bubb »

After a very long absence from the game I have returned looking for some help. This is the situation. I want to play an old school Chicago Bears type team. Ya know. Smashmouth, in your face, run the ball up the gut type team. I also need a team that is fairly simple to coach until my feet get wet again. Any suggestions on A) Team type and B) What would be a good example of a roster?? Thanks much!

If you want a simple smashmouth roster I think Orcs (without Gobbo's) would be your best bet. As for a roster, sorry can't help - the only good greenskin is a dead greenskin :) .

Also, check out this section of the board, you're bound to find plenty of tips for playing Orcs, and against the rest.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

The team that best fits your description is dwarves, but they're certainly not easy to play. I suggest you go with undead. Here's a good roster to get you started:

2 Mummies 200k
4 Ghouls 280k
5 Zombies 150k
2 Fan factor 20k
5 Rerolls 350k

Whatever team you choose to go for, get a fan factor of 9 (except maybe for undead and khemri), and lots of rerolls. You won't regret it.

as a rule i normally say the best team to go for a new return would be orc, however the idea for an undead team is cool.

stick with orc if you have the models and can't be bothered to go get new ones. but if you have the time and the want try the undead they can be lots of fun.

i know lots of coaches that stay away from undead but they can be lots of fun and very successfull
