ag 5 ona a Lineelf
So.. I rolled +AG on a WE Line, and my gut reaction was to go for block, partly beacuse I don't have any (except for WD),
and also that 40K for more ag that I need skills to really get the most out of would just inflate TV.
Now... I'm wondering, I mean, leap Ag 5 is just 1 skill away...

agility 5, leap, then wrestle and strip ball.
Yes I think every wood elf team should have one.

If you do not have anyone else with +AG then take it, you can always fire them later if you get +AG on better players. My elf team has three Catchers all with AG 5 and it makes for scoring wonderful!

+AG is only OK on MA6, but on MA7 it's very hard to cope with.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

+AG on a first skill is awesome. I had the misfortune of getting it on a Wrestle Dodge player, however... I was waiting for leap forever, and the TV was wasted.
Anyway, here are some of the things you can use AG 5 for until you get leap (assuming your team isn't very developed:
1) Fielding the ball in weather conditions
2) Getting the ball out of tackle zones
3) A nasty interceptor (but aren't all elves?)
4) A stunty-light which allows the sidelines to be traversed no matter what in an emergency
5) A very effective passer.
All in all, a great first skill for a lineman. You might want to go Dodge instead of leap with the first skill... more surviveability and AG 5 dodge is the equal of leap in about half the situations where leap is handy.

I got AG5 on a Dodge/Wrestle/Tackle Pro-Elf Catcher.
One of the best players I've ever had.
He never got as far as Leap, but it didn't matter - he was a game-breaker.
His best effort was sacking the opponent's ball carrier 3 times in the first half of the league final.
Very nearly acceptable.

But there is a big difference between MA 6 and MA 8! On a pro elf catcher it's money. He can get into the backfield a long way, and most teams can't set up an effective barrier to keep him out of both sidelines. Combined with kick and he is a mini wardancer... who can catch in a crowd.Smeborg wrote:Jural -
