60k and what to do?

Post by RevolutionaryRat »

HI-

I am halfway through my season, with my skaven team at 4-1.

I currently have 3 re-rolls, apothecary, 3 GRs, 2 SVs, 1 Rat Ogre, 1 Thrower, and 7 linerats. I have 60k in the bank..what should I do with it?
Another linerat? Save for a star player in the playoffs? What?

Thanks,

Brian

Depends on the teams you will be meeting.

Hard hitting teams --> buy an extra linerat (or save up for an extra thrower).

"Not-so-hard-hitting" teams --> Save up for an extra reroll.

If you ask me the skaven star player selection are not that great, so it's better to develope your own.

Yer awful, Snots! Very un-pc! lol

I'd say save for the gutter runner unless you meet up with somebody who is gonna give a crunching. Then freeboot a wizard.

Save for the Gutter, they can always double as a thrower if your main one has an accident.

Bank it. If you get another 60k for your next game, get a ReRoll, otherwise get a 4th GR, you'll need the reserves.

I would say you need another GR and another Thrower, so if you only get 10,000 in your next game go with the thrower, if you can afford the GR first get him  .

With skaven, I am a great believer in you need as much cover as posible.

Thanks for the advice!

I think I will save for the Gutter Runner and/or thrower. I definitely think one of the GR's can function as a backup thrower, so I am more inclined to get the 4th GR.

Either save for another thrower. Who needs 4 gutter runners?

OR save the money for when you meet a halfling team and get all your players killed. You'll need the money to replace them!

I would go for a thrower. Skaven Throwers have the movement to get to the ball when you are recieving, and you can use your GR's on his side of the field, where they are most effective. Having a second one you can use to scoop up the ball is pretty important for the rats.

Of course, it also depends largely on the composition of your team. If you have a Gutter Runner with Sure Hands, you can use him in a pinch. If this is the case, and you are playing in a non-bashing team, then the fourth GR is something to think about.
