Pact Elf Advance

Post by SierraKiloBravo »

My Pact elf rolled his next advance. Right now he is 7348 Animosity / Catch / Dodge. I know I didn't really develop him like I should have, but I'm learning with this team. Anyway, the next still advance was an 11. Basically, take the +AG with this build? Or take Leap now? Or Horns now?

I was sort of thinking about turning him into an interception machine at the team's inception, so if I keep along that line, it sort of makes sense to take the AG now and then go pass block / VLL if I ever get that far.

Thoughts? Thanks.

Hey, hey!

Ag+ on a 4 agility piece is the most buh-roken part of the game... of course you take it!!!!

Yarp, AG5 is insanely useful. Means you can dodge into a tackle zone and pick up the ball without too much trouble.

+AG is wonderful on any AG3 or AG4 player. You need some really powerful motivation to turn it down.

Take the AG+.
Oh, and don't feel so bad, I got it as a first skill then Dodge. I took leap next hoping I would get to block quickly and when I got there rolled a ST+. So I have a 6 4 5 8 dodging leaping lighting rod for all my league's hate. ;)

The moral here is he may not end up being the blodging, leaping, horned blitzer you imagined, but he can still be really cool and a lot of fun.

I have an AG5 DElf (with Dodge) on my Pact team and I can attest to how useful this is. His agility comes in handy all over the pitch and basically means I only fail most actions on snake-eyes.

In fact, on defence I would rather dodge into a cage at 4+ with a dodge reroll than a 3+ leap. That would ideally would often leave me with a reroll to use on the blocking dice. So take the AG now and consider bypassing leap altogether for Horns -> Strip Ball.

I'm also bit tempted to take block on my DElf's third skill to further help his survivability and frustrate blitzing opponents.
