Hello everyone

I have quite a problem about this guy, I really cannot see what could be useful for him. He's my first +ST dwarf, and I didn't expect him to roll doubles so never thought about it ^^

What would you guys choose?
dodge? could be good with BT later, but he's slow! :-?
Side-step? on a 4 ST guard, SF is good too...
Diving tackle? he is usually on the LoS...

here is the team:

Code: Select all

1. Blocker 4 3 2 9 Block, Tackle, Thick skull, Guard, Stand Firm

2. Blocker 4 3 2 9 Block, Tackle, Thick skull, Guard, Dirty Player, Piling on

3. Blocker 4 3 2 9 Block, Tackle, Thick skull, Guard, Stand Firm, Mighty Blow, Grab
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Blocker 4 4 2 9 Block, Tackle, Thick skull, Guard, Mighty Blow, ???
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Blocker 4 3 2 9 Block, Tackle, Thick skull, Guard, Stand Firm, Dauntless, Grab

6. Runner 7 3 3 8 Sure Hands, Thick Skull, Block, Fend, Pass block, Nerves of Steel

7. Runner 6 3 3 8 Sure Hands, Thick Skull, Block, Kick off Return, Kick, Accurate, Diving Tackle,

8. Blitzer 7 3 4 9 Block, Thick Skull, Guard, Mighty Blow

9. Blitzer 5 3 4 9 Block, Thick Skull, Guard, Mighty Blow, Tackle, Grab

10. Troll Slayer 5 3 2 8 Block, Thick Skull, Frenzy, Dauntless, Mighty Blow, Juggernaut, Stand Firm, Multiple Block, Guard

11. Troll Slayer 5 3 2 8 Block, Thick Skull, Frenzy, Dauntless, Mighty Blow, Juggernaut, Stand Firm, Piling On, Jump Up

12. Blocker 4 3 2 9 Block, Thick Skull, Tackle, Guard, Mighty Blow, Stand Firm

13. Death Roller 4 7 1 10 SF, BT, DP, Jugg, MB, NH, SW, Guard, Grab, Multiple Block

6 Reroll, 6 CL, 1 Apo
Team Value 2740k

Currently, I use this guy on the center of the LoS on defense, and on offense he is the front of my cage :)
Maybe I should use him another way?

Thanks in advance for your answers !

Side step would be my choice. You will have most pleasure from this. You will not often use the dodge skill to it's full use.

Side Step and put him in at middle linebacker in a 3-5, or Dodge and put him on a blitz-absorbing inside spot in a more conventional 3-4. In the former case follow with Break tackle, in the latter follow with Stand Firm.

Hmm, I really like Side Step and Dodge... but my own experience is throwing a monkey wrench in the system...

Have you considered Grab? I know it might sound daft, but At STR 4 this player will often be the first player to block for you on a turn, and the extra bit of positioning can be huge... not to mention it helps stops Side Steppers from stalling the front of your cage.

It's not a double I know... but it's so useful at the Nose Tackle position! And with STR 4, AV 9, and TS, you are already pretty surviveable, especially with Stand Firm being a logical next pick

Dodge, then follow up with Stand Firm for an ultra annoying piece.

SS, take DT on other dwarves..

SS + Guard + S4 + Blackle is ultra annoying already..

Ok, so I think I will go Side Step. I already have quite a bunch of SF so this may be quite handy :)

thanks a lot!
