opinions on starting Old World rosters

I came up with three different lineups that I like:

Two Big Guys starting:

1 Ogre
1 Treeman
1 Wood Elf Lineman
2 Longbeards
2 Halflings
4 Human Linemen
6 FF
3 Rerolls

I would use the Wood Elf as a starting thrower to earn some quick SPPs from passing and then either replace him with a human thrower if I don't like the way he develops...or keep him on as main thrower.

Just the Ogre:

1 Ogre
1 Wood Elf Lineman
1 Human Thrower
3 Longbeards
2 Halflings
3 Human Linemen
8 FF
3 Rerolls

This lineup is a bit more dependable as the Ogre will always be there when I need the muscle, plus he has 3 Longbeards to back him up on the line. Can now do a reasonable passing OR running game with the Thrower and WE.

No Big Guys:

2 Wood Elf Linemen
1 Human Thrower
4 Longbeards
1 Halfling
3 Human Linemen
9 FF
3 Rerolls

A bit less muscle on the line here but now making use of a Human Thrower to pick up the ball and he'll have two capable recievers in the WEs...the Longbeards will just have to hold the line themselves.

I've tinkered with all three lineups and the one I'm tending towards is the Ogre only roster. Any opinions on these three or ideas of your own are welcome.

Nice looking teams. One little problem. Orges won't play with Wood Elves and would probably eat the 'flings, and Treemen won't play with Dwarfs (they'd only chop them down) or humans (same reason).

Actually Darkson ... these are real rosters for the Old World team per Blood Bowl Mag #3.

So he's asking about which one we think is the best to try using the actually Old World team rules.

We have a TR 126 Old World team in the MBBL, its here:

I like the just the Ogre roster if I was picking from the three.

Never got to see #3

I have to say I don't like them, just for the reasons I posted above.

i can see the merits of the teams, and if I had to choose one, on fluff alone, it'll be the treeman only one (i just can't see the pansy elves associating with the rough, uncouth orge - or the dwarfs for that matter  ) but I wouldn't play one.

Personally I'd lay off the Big guys, max out on longbeards 4 I think then take two more as the allies, Two Elf lineman,Human Linemen, A fling if you need it and then re rolls a FF
Get the big guys later on.

Starting Old World:

6 Dwarf LongBeards 420
2 High Elf LineElves 140
2 Halflings 60
1 Human LineMan 50

3 Re-Rolls 240
9 Fan Factor 90

Dont Start with Big Guys... they dont work. Buy them later.

Gary was trying to give you this Roster too... This is habbit of yours Gary, using my Rosters :P
I accept no Liability for your counting Errors and Rolling of Dbl 1's however :D

My Old World Team (They started out as above):

(Rolled AG for 2 of the Dwarfs, thats slowed down my development of Guards)
