Hello,
Here is my league roster after 2 victories :
2 Blitzers
3 GR, 2 got block
6 Linerats, 1 just got kick
1 Thrower
3 RR
1 Apo
I have 80k, should I buy a player (GR,thrower ...)?
And what about skills for blitzers, guard MB or tackles ?
New skaven team, what's next buy ?

I'd buy the fourth GR next. I think that a skaven team should aim to have all four on the roster at all times. Then look at buying one more reroll (or take Leader on the thrower). After that linerats or, if you're feeling adventurous or you're a glutton for punishment (on yourself), a Rat Ogre.
I like the blitzers' first skills to be Guard and Mighty Blow. In that order, so the first one to skill up gets Guard and the second one MB. On doubles take Claw (if your league has enough AV9 and AV8 teams) followed by MB. Killing players shouldn't be only for the opposing coach and playing a skaven team when you (rarely) outnumber the opposition is great fun!

agreed but for the extra reroll. You sure about getting it that early? More linerats seem more important to me tbh (note: I consider myself still a noob so that might be the problem hehe)Ullis wrote:I'd buy the fourth GR next. I'd guard up the blitzers, and take the gutter. I even started with 4 gutters myself.. The reason being they are the team's most resilient players. If you roll doubles then take Claw then later MB..
For a skaven blitzer I'd actually consider juggernaut at some point (after guard, MB), due to the increase in mobility it brings when rolling double bothdowns (think of "Glart smashrip jr." as your "optimal" skaven blitzer). Tackle would not be a high priority, cause your linos are likely to come with wrestle anyway, and gutters are more likely to be in position.

New league, or developed league and you're playing catchup?
In a new league, I'd probably pass on the 4th gutter runner, at least for a little while. The reason being, good players always come gunning for your runners with blitzes early. In a new league, they just won't have the tackle/MB/Pile killers that usually wipe GRs without problem. Also, too many gutter runners on the field hurts your chance to throw a good number of blocks of your own, which you'll be able to do sometimes in a new league, but in a developed league, you're avoiding any bashy whatsoever.
Guard on the Blitzers is the usual reason, and always valuable. MB is a solid choice too. Tackle is great, and can be important, depending on the league makeup, size, and who you've played already. (My Blitzer took tackle since my first games were against Dwarves, Orcs and Chaos with Wood Elves and Goblins coming up soon in the rotation).
The Rat Ogre is really becoming a valuable addition to my Skaven. Overpriced? Yes, but on a team like this, the STR 5 is a big bonus. If the opponent leaves him alone, it's a very nasty frenzy blitzer. If he takes the effort to block him, that's a good amount of effort focused on one model, and away from your precious squishy rats.
Question to other Skaven coaches: RO early, or late? Early = more SPP chances, and a little more of an impact when the opponents can't deal with him. The downside there is, it adds an uncertain element to the early Skaven game, which IMHO, is their best time to shine.
