Double 5 on a Halfling

I'm making a trial run at the Whoville Oilies, as a D-league Halfling team: I'm grooming a few players for the next season, and everybody else will get dropped, perhaps to be picked up by others but probably not (except maybe Trees). Two games in out of four possible, I have a 2-0 record, plus the following improvements: Block on a Halfling (after game 1), Skill on a Halfling, double-5 on a Halfling, Skill on a Treeman.

What would you do with double 5s? +MA? Block? Some other skill? Only AV is off the table. I'm tempted to take +MA, and try to get this guy up again for Sure Feet. But I could also go for a second Block Halfling.... Once again, I'm going to be playing two more games with the team as-is, but I'm going to disband them and reform them after the season ends in late January with a couple key players. So this guy, the double-5 Halfling, is going to be playing in a lot of games, but the team he's on won't be around long.

Wrestle is good on stunties because it helps against blodge when you've probably got no tackle.

I've had good fun using strip ball halflings.

+1 for wrestle if you already have one with Block

Wrestle
Guard
Dirty player

Those are your options really. +MA is a waste (70k goblin!), and block seems inferior to wrestle as a 'bothdown' skill.

Guard will help with your blitzing block-ling and cages.
Wrestle will make him survive a lot longer + maybe give you a weapon vs blodge.
DP, well.. Needs no explanation your fouls will be 100% more active.. until he's ejected ofc. The only downside is, you'll have a fragile dedicated fouler.

A DP halfling is only the designated fouler until he gets spotted or splatted. After that the others can take over 8)

I would go for strip ball by the way, since flings can have such huge issues getting the ball away from blodgers or high ST ballcarriers.

Sure Hands or Wrestle for me. Wrestle helps his survival and will help you to down players/ball carriers.

SH will protect against those pesky leaping elven stripballers.

Move I'd say and keep him on the bench for the one turn score. Lob him down the pitch and he can go and score that wonderful TD.

Next idea would give him surefeet to help him get there.
