Skaven vs Chaos Dwarves
I play the Skavens it's a TV 112 team with pretty much only a AG5 gutter runner. I will play my next match against Chaos Dwarves, and I will get 190 in inducements. Should I take a wizard to prevent his bull centaur from scoring once or should I take a rat ogre to stand up to his dwarves with guard ?

Wizard might be ok, although 2 babes and a cheap star player might be something to look into too. A Rat Ogre (even Headsplitter) won't stand up to any dwarves. Glart Jr. (who has ST4 and Claws) could be great, but you can't afford it

I don't know how you fare in the RR departement, but I'd go for one RR and 1 Babe. Or two babes and an extra player.

Fezglitch is excellent value against a bash team (I speak as one of his regular opponents).

I agree, 1 Fezglitch, 1 bribe?Smeborg wrote:Fezglitch is excellent value against a bash team (I speak as one of his regular opponents).

Re: Skaven vs Chaos Dwarves
I ended up taking the rat ogre, it was useful, I lost 2-1 but came really close to tying (missed go for it, re-roll, missed again). Now I have another problem. I have the chance to get my gutter runner to ag6. He is at 16 spps and I got two +1 ag. Should I move him to 6 or get a skill ? Is 6 useful compared to 5 ? Is it worth it ?

Re: Skaven vs Chaos Dwarves
I would take the AG6. It means he can dodge into 2 tackle zones on a 2+ (with re-roll). It also means he can pick the ball up on a 2+ in 2 tackle zones. It would make this Gutter Runner particularly adept at retrieving loose balls and the like, as well as being very difficult to defend against when he is on offense.
If you roll a double later in this GR's development, you can take Two Heads, meaning he could dodge into 3 tackle zones on a 2+ (with re-roll). This is as dodgy as a player can get, and is very rare.

6 agility is godly, with two heads he could literally get anywhere. He can intercept on a 3+ so it might be worth giving him pass block, combined with very long legs he could intercept on a 2+!

Take the AG.
It'll give you a 2/2/2/3 thrower, with movement 9. You can get the ball pretty much anywhere on the pitch.

As stated, AG6 all the way. Pickups, dodges, everything gets better.
AHhhhhhHh! Pork, Smeborg! What are you guys thinking?!?!??
NEVER two heads on this guy. With AG6, he's pretty much as dodgy as you'll ever want him to be. The times he'll actually have to dodge into 3 TZ are going to be very very very rare, and even then, 3+ with dodge is fine.
Block, Leap, Sidestep... the usual GR stuff is so much more important than letting him dodge into 10 tackle zones.
Gratz on the double AG! Now roll a 6+6 and make everyone here sick with envy.

With AG6 he is going to be such a target that this guy's next skill has got to be Block, for pure survival reasons.

He's a 2/2/3/4 thrower. AG6 & AG5 are the same for throwing as a 1 before or after modification is a fumble.bungo_underhill wrote:Take the AG.

AG6 is better for dodges, catches & pickups in TZ - so well worth it.

Doesn't the same argument apply to the second +1AG?Funksultan wrote:NEVER two heads on this guy. With AG6, he's pretty much as dodgy as you'll ever want him to be. The times he'll actually have to dodge into 3 TZ are going to be very very very rare, and even then, 3+ with dodge is fine.
