+AV on developed chaos Warrior

I have a chaos warrior with block, guard, mighty blow. He's on a developed team.
I rolled 6+4 at 51 SPPs. I don't think giving him +mv is worth it, he'd only be as fast as an ordinary beastman then.

I'm actually strongly considering giving him +AV, because:
he already has good skills, so I don't feel i'm really sacrificing anything key to do it. I'd probably be getting claw.
I can then put him on the LOS to take the hits. I usually put two warriors and a beastman on the LOS, because beastmen are only AV 8, making them pretty fragile even if my 3 guys on the LOS have guard.

AV9 is normally good enough, but I face a fair bit of MB. AV10 would obviously be useless against claw, but I see a lot more MB than claw, and I'd not put him on the LOS against MB/Claw combos.

I'm facing an undead team next with 5 guard, 4 MB, and a +STR mummy. I think an AV10 warrior would be lovely for the LOS. Is this a waste of a skill-up?

As an aside, I lost a 54 SPP chaos warrior today who has been with the team for 20 something games, since day 1. His armour was broken on a 10. Maybe that's why I want to take this +AV!

Probably won't get another skill up... or will have to wait seemingly forever... and Block/Guard/Mighty Blow/Claw is just soooooo sweet...!

Forget the armor and open a few cans while he lasts....

I would suggest ignoring the 6+4 and taking Claw or Tackle instead.

If you're facing a lot of MB, then you're likely facing a lot of AV9 too, which suggests that Claw is a good pick.

I'd consider the AV as good as the alternatives. You have the critical skills. Tackle on the line is meh. Claw is nice...but as often as it is, you'll get a boost from the armour. And importantly...the boost against fouls is huge. I say take the armour for variety alone.
