Chaos pact dark elf rolls double five
What skill to take? He hasn't any other skill yet...
I'm thinking MA+1 is pretty nifty, but so is a strength skill as mighty blow, followed by horns or block...I'm not going to make him a ball carrier, but instead I'd like him to be a mobile blitzer....

I wouldn't go with mighty blow. You have plenty of bash on the team already.
I think the +1 ma is the best choice.

+MA or Nerves of Steel depending on how you use him.

Mobile blitzer eh? +1 MA fits that role for sure.

Re: Chaos pact dark elf rolls double five
I tend towards thinking that +MA is best on any 10 for any of the non-Big Guy players on this otherwise slow team. This is also the philosophy followed by a Chaos Pact coach in our league who seems to understand the team well.

Now would be a good time to pick up the Skaven. 1x MA7 is easy to negate, 2x, not so much.

I dunno: I'm winning matches, but I'm strapped for cash...I'm saving for the minotaur first i think. Besides, like i said: the skaven is a bit to squishy for my tastes: as the only one with av 7 (dont have the goblin either), he'll have a big red bullseye drawn on his head...
rest of the team is:
Ogre
Troll
1 DE
8 Marauders
4 RRs
Apo

The skaven is indeed squishy, but I went with a very similar team as yours when starting and found the rat handy for stretching the field. His worth diminishes at higher TV, but hopefully you've rolled a good doubles or stat upgrade on him by then to keep him useful.

At 16 SPP, he's the same value as an Orc Blitzer with +AG, and the same template, with comparable access. But he is one skill behind, too.stashman wrote:+AV = 6349 (and thats a good orc blitzer!!!)
But while MA and AV are comparable on the roster (or AV might be a bit better), usually on just one guy, +MA > +AV. Since this is the fastest, most mobile guy, and his MA is currently 6, that's another one for +MA.

As for the skaven/minotaur... I would save up for the minotaur now, too. It's just too much in the character of this team to have 3 big guys running around...

+MA for sure unless you went down another road for the Dark Elf. But with all the other GASM Marauders I'd rather see the Dark Elf Blitzing/Ball carrying or both.
Skaven/Mino I've found to be key, and the Skaven was a game from being Jamarcus Russelled away and the Minotaur was left out originally due to costs at team creation. Both are now 2 of my 3 favorite players.
Just don't number any Marauder 44.
44 Rankine - Killed by a Human Lineman. (1 game, 0 SPP)
44 Stefan - Smashed Collar Bone courtesy of a Pestigor. (7 games, 3SPP)
44 Stefan Jr. - Killed by the same Pestigor (1 game, 0SPP, still active as a rotter after 3 games however)
44 Stefan the III, Esquire - Eaten by an orc's pet Troll. (3 games, 1 MVP)
44 Stefan the Invincible - Taken down by a Skink. (2 games, 0SPP)
44 Stefan the Invincible II - Still active, 2 games, 1 Blood Bowl Player's Medal dedicated to his predecessors.
His buddy Boltzman is doing fine though.
