125 Ressurection Orcs (using ripper)

Post by natsirtm »

i like having the option of the troll throwing the gobbo as a last resort, so need a troll - but the rest of the time stupid/loner is too much of a liability. i've managed to squeeze room on the roster for him, at the expense of knocking two blitzers down to line orcs with block, then i thought about taking wrestle since there will likely be a lot of blocky/bashy teams.

1x ripper
4x black orcs - block
1x blitzer - frenzy/dodge (+ free leader and gets extra skills after each game)
1x blitzer - guard/stand firm
1x thrower - kick off return
1x goblin
1x reroll

+ 2 x line orcs each with a normal skill. i'm debating between block/block, block/wrestle, wrestle/wrestle.
i've tried 1 wrestle and various skills other than block, but i prefer being able to throw my first block "safely" (only a skull puts them down) with anybody but the gobbo or thrower.

any advice? i'm leaning towards block/wrestle just to at least have one wrestle, i think two wrestles is just my love of symmetry.

would help if you told us the rules for skill selection ;]

I'm not sure ripper is worth the cost

Agreed. Ripper's great, but he's not that great. Just get a Grab guy and a full complement of positionals, and you'll be glad you saved so much money. After all, if your concern is Grab and MB, it sounds from your post that you can do it with Blitzers instead, much more economically.

I second Grum's question, though, and my advice may hang on your format. How much cash? How are skills handled? If you get so many skills and that's that, but Star Players are a different thing, that may change my tune.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
