I'm leaning towards a 4th re-roll as they burn through them and I haven't managed to skill my first blitzer yet so not sure if I need another.

Personally I'd go with the re roll. My Slann team is at a similar skill level to yours and I really find the re roll helps a lot with the latter stages of a half- it let's me risk that crucial leap or make that dodge.
I also have a thing about Slann blitzers. I started with two and now have none. The first one died in their first or second game and the second got crippled and had to be sacked. So I've played mainly with either one or none.
They're undoubtedly great players with a couple of skills (G A S skill access is a superb asset) but a re roll will serve you better.

I think a slann team can pretty much always use the 4th reroll with a marginal benefit that's above the 50k bump in TV.
Blitzers are a lot of fun and add quite a lot to a slann team. I think I'd get bored with a slann team pretty quickly without blitzers. But I'd still get the 4th reroll now.

I agree that the Blitzers are fun players to use - and quite flexible in how they can be developed. My main problem with them is that diving tackle is a great skill when you have more than one of them. Its useful anyway for laying down particularly robust tackle zones but four players can really restrict an opponents options. BUT the blitzers are so expensive whilst their skills are quite situational - against bash teams blitzers, whilst still fast, are less effective than their cost would suggest. IMHO.
