"Bloated" Goblins - should I "reset"?

Our league doesn't use a scheduled league, but matches are played as coaches agree.
I tend to play more often than the other players in the league and therefore already got some skills on my trolls/goblins, with nothing exceptional yet. (except hail mary on a bombardier which proved to me not nearly as much fun as I expected)
Having a T3 team and also granting the opponent inducements almost all of the time for skills that seem suboptimal to me is a great problem in my opinion.
I got some cash on the side - should I just "restart" and cut the expensive players and those with skills for new players?
The Goblin Fanatic for example seems to be a waste of TV - I can induce Fungus the Loon for just 10K more than the regular fanatics cost.
thank you for any input

What was wrong with the hail mary bomber?

I have a similar problem with Gobbos this season (in our open league).
The TV is now 154. I have all 3 Secret Weapons, but all are rookies, because of their high death rate. It seems wrong to fire skilled normal Gobbos or Trolls (or to drop Re-Rolls) simply in order to reduce TV. Money is not a problem.
The problem lies, I think, with having rostered Secret Weapons. They really need Bribes, but if you are the overdog, or TV is similar, Bribes are not readily available. I don't see an obvious solution. I tried playing during the middle of the season without rostered SWs. It was successful (the team got better results than before and after when they had SWs), but it was also rather dull. 3 SWs and no Bribes means it is rather easy for your opponent to reduce Gobbos to below 11 men. Even with only 2 SWs, this is not very difficult, especially in a developed league with plenty of Tackle and slayer skills around. It is a strange dynamic.
All the best.

The bombs hardly hit anything and at the time they did a treeman! catched it and threw it back! between two of my gobbos who went both down *sigh*
(and that was the "good" hail mary pass out of 5 tries)

Imo you need to find the SW that suits you best, and stick with it. Rostering all 3 means you are playing a stunty roster with 13 players. At higher TV, thats basicly guaranteed that you play the 2nd half with <11 men.

Carnis - I think 1 SW is a bit light, 2 AW is probably better.
Like Trollblanc, I find the Bomber completely useless (a waste of skin, as they say in Essex). So for me, it would be the Saw and the B&C.
All the best.

Which skill has got your fanatic? I find him much better than fungus because he's not loner= no turnover if you use him with a RR. of course when he gets double sure feet, 2ยบ Block, normal skill up mighty blow. get this three and a +1 MV and he becomes a unstopable killing machine,...
If you get the underdog consider getting fungus and use both ball and chain in your drive for a devastating effect. it becomes important you recive in such a case!!

We have a random MVP League and the fanatic is the worst blocker I ever rolled dice with - not a single casualty yet - so he has 5 SSP

(one time mvp)

don't worry give him a chance and he'll go up. I tend to go for it a lot whit him while I keep my RR, if he's in position to cause some harm. Do you?

After a season and a half, about 20 games, I have a similar problem.
My TV is sitting at 170 with a lot of injured gobbo's with skills - I don't have enough to get rid of all of them or be able to actually do much without them.
I have the same issue with the HMP Bomber - couldn't hit the side of a barn if he was nailed to it.
A lot of the games I'm playing this season are against lower value teams and I'm not getting bang for my buck with the SW's, no bribes means they're on for a limited time. The chainsaw has dirty player and the fanatic has block, so I'm not unhappy about having them on the roster at all.

I try to - but I don't dare to GFI often if it is not an 2/3 chance to hit something.
I suck at GFI's without end. Got Sure Feet for my Pogoer - first GFI - 1/1
2nd GFI in the Game => 1/1

Yes, while fouling you can. While blocking, you cant combine claw, mb etc..

I think that you should indeed reset - I never played goblins but I regularly play against goblins and I can tell you it's really a pain to play against a very low TV goblin team that gets bribes, Morg'n'Thorg and Ripper as inducements.
However I'm surprised that you even get a choice - the goblin teams I know have a high player turnover and tend not to keep experienced goblins whether they want to or not, apart from maybe one or two stars who managed to get +1AG and block so firing experienced players is usually a luxury they don't have.

Would you mind posting your roster? I am very curious to see a goblin team at such a high TV. I also wouldn't mind hearing which skill-ups have been particularly useful (or not) when playing. Instead of resetting, perhaps you could arrange you play a few matches against your local chaos/dwarf teams...Darwin will take care of the rest.
