Talk Fantasy Football

My Skaven got 3 skill-ups after my last game and I'm trying to decide on what to take on them. Here is the team (with base skills not included):

Gutter Runner - Normal Skill
Gutter Runner - Block
Gutter Runner +AG, Double Skill
Gutter Runner - Wrestle
Blitzer - No Skills
Blitzer - Normal Skill
Thrower - No Skill
4 x Linerat - 1 with Guard, other 3 No Skills
3 x Re-roll


At the moment I'm leaning towards Block on the unskilled Gutter Runner and Horns on the +AG guy with a view of giving him Wrestle or Strip Ball next.

The Blitzer will get Guard unless I can be convinced otherwise.

Additionally I have 130k in the bank. Should I get my 4th Re-roll or spend some of it on getting a 5th Linerat (taking me to 13 players)? Should I even consider getting 2 extra Linerats?

My next 2 games are Chaos Dwarf around my TV, maybe a little below and a Necromantic team that I am around 400k below.

I agree with putting block on the G-runners, not sure about the rest...not enough experiance on my part.

GET A RAT OGRE! Assuming you have an apo, if you don't, get one of those.

Sensible advice, I'd say.

My calcs say you should hire an AC and a CL with this team. Marginally, but definitely. Just one of each. Don't bother with the fourth TRR yet. Save most of your cash for a Rat Ogre.

Whoops, forgot to add the Rat Ogre to the team. I already have a Rat Ogre and an Apoth on the team (we had 1.1m starting cash).

If you want a basher (MB/PO/Claws), then you should go MB on the blitzer, then pray for doubles and take guard if not . If you go MB on the first skill for both your odds of getting Claws on a blitzer with MB will be better..

Block/Daunts for all 4 gutters.

I'd take Block on the +AG runner. It seems a bit pedestrian, but an ag5 blodger is pretty near a perfect specimen anyways!! I wouldn't go with horns, as you're probably going to want to make the pickup with the AG5 guy, and after blitzing he'll be unable to move the ball.


If you wanted to get really wild in a long league, take foul appearance. It's as good as block defensively..(I know, I know, no knockdown or turnover!!) You can then pick up block to make one of the hardest to nail receivers in the game......
