Advise on which team to pick

Hey everybody,
We are starting a new league here and I am torn as to which team to pick, so far the league looks very bashy, so I am a bit afraid to roll up with Humans or Skaven, which are my favorite teams (+ Undead). So far there are 1 Norse, 1 Delf, 2 Orc, 2 Undead, 1 Necro, 1 Chaos/Ogre, 1 Khemri. So now what I am wondering (due to little experience in leagues) is if it makes sense to run either Skaven or Human, or if I should stick with Undead for now. I think I'll get devastated in most matches, especially that we'll be running divisions of 4 players where you play each one twice.
Any advice on this would be appreciated.

I would love to play Dark Elves in that league. Build them to beat bash and you should have an easy time (lots of blodge+sidestep, guard on doubles, pretty standard).

Ya, Elves are not exactly my pair of shoes.

Will take it into consideration though.

+1
That's the beauty of Delves speed, AG and bash!
Personaly I would be tempted to run skaven with a rat ogre(can't belive I said that) you could run laps around them with the Grunners.
Have you concidered chaos dwarves? They can stand the bash and they have a Movment 9 (technically) ST4 blitzing ballcarrier and the tough dwarves to withstand the storm of fist you must face.

Dark Elves can frustrate the hell out of bashy teams because they fight back well, and move the ball well. Without a bunch of other agility teams, they just get stronger because there will be very little tackle. I'll happily dive into a bash heavy league with them - the only teams that scare me with DE's are other agility teams.
Don't be a hater, give the DE's a shot
Plus, there's those snazzy new Dark Eldar models that just came out. They're begging to be converted into a DE team.

Okay, convinced.

Now off to read up on them.

Thanks for the advice, new experiences usually are positive.

I can't wait for the mandrakes to be out! You can make a complete team out of one of the new troop boxs too. (Wouldn't use the heas with the visor though)

Damn, those new Mandrakes are sweet! Only 5 of them in a box though, but I guess they can be position players.

The Wyches are nice and dynamic though for the rest. Woohoo thanks guys. Getting excited about this.

I would make the mandrakes your lineman, faceless and evil. Shadows of death, essential yet disposable.
That new large haired character model (I forget her name) would make a nice witch elf too.
I would say as far as team building goes the players you need most are the blitzers, all of them on your starting team without a doubt. Assassins should be last on your shedule esspecial in such a bashy league.

I think I'll chime in with the others that a heavy bash league is just begging for an agility team.
The reason being that if they're trying to gear up to beat Orcs and the like than they'll probalby try to bring skills like guard and neglect skills like tackle. You might not see any pass block and probably very little diving tackle until much later, maybe not much wrestle either.
What you're going to have to consider, however, is how you're going to beat the 2-1 grind. You always have to figure that one out, just make sure it's something you've thought about.

I've played in a similar bashy league with dark elves and they rock! Especially after a couple of games, when you get dodge on blitzers and have acquired the witches and a kick lineman. As already mentioned go for skills like dodge, then sidestep a couple of wrestle guys and you should be able to shut down their offense completely.

Okay, the information you pointed out was great. Is there some thread which lists a bunch of different formations by any chance? Tried to search, but no luck.
