Doubles on a fling when next game is against norse

HI

I have a Fling team with three skilled flings. Only one of them rolled double.

This league is only 10 games long and chances are pretty good this team wo'nt be playing after that.
My next opponent is norse.

With this in mind I gave two flings DT.

The double roll is the problem. I want Sure hands to save the reroll for some other action. But with that much block coming my way, maybe wrestle would be a good idea? Maybe even block?

So I need help deciding what the double roll should be.
There is only one more block-heavy team in the league, a dwarf team. With this in mind, should I take wrestle?

THanks for the advice!

Only problem with taking Diving Tackle when you're flings is that why would anyone, particularly Norse, want to try dodging away from you when they can just smack you for two dice in the face, with the cushion of block?

I like wrestle. It negates the greatest strength of Norse (block everywhere) and opens up fouling opportunities, which takes advantage of one of the greatest weaknesses of the Norse (low AV).

For your team's longevity, wrestle also opens up possibilities for having a treeman throw the wrestler over the lines, then blitzing the ballcarrier.

+1 on the Wrestle, for the anti-Block benefit and fouling opportunities. Especially against the AV7 Norse.

dirty player.

or Hail Mary Pass.

If I see a Wrestle/Block halfling I just kill his buddies instead. Neither offer a great reward on offense for a 10 game league, though Block helps a ball carrier... but 'Flings don't carry the ball very far with only MV 5.

Take something that helps your teams performance, and both of them do. Dirty Player removes players (go Halfling Hit Squad!) and Hail Mary Pass is great for defense, scoop the ball and on a 2+ send it back down the other way... then have a Tree throw some players down there to get it later on!

I think DP is solid. If your 60k player can remove a beserker or an ulf, that's golden. Block might be annoying, but to have any chance I think you need to get players up.

Dirty player, defo for 'flings! Sure if he gets sent off, he can't get killed!

against norses, side step would have been a better choice than DT... since a one dice block is safer for a norse than a dodge. My norses faced flings recently - a team full of side step. It was a pain : i couldn't block those little buddies with my 5 frenzy guys without risking a hard time in the treemen TZ.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I do foul a lot(duh, I play flings) so DP could be an asset but I think I'll stick with wrestle to try it the new skill.
I'm gonna take sidestep instead of DT, I think you made a good point there.
