iam in a League thats very mixed with bashy and Agi-Teams. If played so far 5 out of 18. Its a perpetual League btw.

So i got:

Blitzer MB
Bob Guard
Thrower AGI
Blitzer Lvl Up

Troll Block and now again 5+5 Lvl up

Is Pro really to go?

i loved the Idea finally getting Guard, cos i love it all around the Team. Espacially on my Big Santa.
But i cant give away the double, or?

Help me out on this lads :D

Controversially I'd say Dodge, but i'm aware that i'm weird. It would keep you standing more.

Pro is probably a sensible choice.

ps. Sidestep is entertaining on big guys as well imho.

Pro helps offset loner a bit. Not only for RS tests but can be mixed in on your blocks.

How about sidestep?

Dodge for me. Give him Stand Firm at 31, and NOBODY gets in.

Or Side Step, for a lesser version of the same thing NOW. Then, at 31, get him Grab.

Boring, but I'd take Tackle or Pro. If your league has it's fair share of AGI teams, tackle will put more pips into your knockdowns.

I like pro. To me, getting back your tackle zones half of the time is huge.

What's the math on that pro re-roll?

So statistically Pro would reduce really Stupid to what? 8% from initially 17%? Or is it more like in between. Aproximately 12.5% ? :D

Second i would go for pro or either Dodge. I like the Idea not getting knocked Down. + Break Tackle would made him a major Thread to Cages wouldnt it?

Besides if he would roll snake eyes on a Block i wouldnt consider Pro just to be more sure.

And i maybe its an important Info, i really use the troll to bind Players i dont Blitz with him at all. He is really my safeguard and Roadblock.

I think it reduces stupid to 9.72%

Pro for me. Many would argue but dodge seems like a waste. In theory if you're positioning well your opponent would have to expend a lot of resources to hit the troll leaving you with many opportunities on your own turn. Gaurd is atleast possible to obtain on his next skill as far off as that may be. Same as break tackle. I think I'd take sidestep before dodge but pro before that. Pro barely over gaurd in my book/

On a 2d Block action, with Pro to re-roll skulls and stupid only:
Stupid: 7/72 (9.7%)
Skull: 5/1944 (0.25%)

With Pro to re-roll skulls, stupid and pushes against non-Block:
Stupid: 7/72
Knockdown: 5/6
Skull: 5/648 (0.7%)

With Pro to re-roll skulls, stupid and pushes against Block:
Stupid: 7/72
Knockdown: 1275/1944 (65.6%)
Skull: 95/7776 (1.2%)

What, you would just go spat without taking the reroll chance?

But then Pro is more than just for double skulls, it's also for when you get push-push, skull-push, etc. Plus for one turn TTM attempts, you can even risk rolling for RS without a minder if every thing has gone to hell! You can use Pro every one of the 16 turns, I don't know if you can say the same for side step, tackle or dodge. Well maybe dodge if you get Break Tackle, but....

I think he might have meant that he'd use a TRR to be sure that the RR would succeed, but considering the Troll has loner, it's the same risk of failure either way.

If I misunderstood, I apologize :)

+1 to pro. I like the idea of dodge, but that's easily negated by tackle. Stand Firm is a decent replacement for Side Step. Guard can be picked up on most other orc players to fill the gap if needed. Pro neutralizes loner on the important rolls and makes him a more reliable knockdown machine (by trying to reroll double push, or defender stumbles against a dodge target)

I would even say 1 in 16 or less actions rather than turns. If you just move that's one but to block or blitz that's 2 actions. With break tackle potentially 3 actions. Pro does so many good things for a BG.
