WE Thrower-4skill?

I rolled an 11.
So far the Thrower has: +1AG, Strong Arm and Accurate.
I don't think the second +1AG is worth it, because he long bombs on a 2+ anyway, when it rains he can pick up the ball on a 2+.
Usually this is my offensive thrower, comes out, gets ball and passes it, job done.

kick off return or sure hands? if you like him offensive that is.
otherwise, dodge. with all that pass action and ag5, he would be great at stealing the ball and passing it out of tackle zones.

I would go for dodge.
safety, he will live longer because they will have less armour rolls on him.
Mobility. With ag5 he will get everywhere.

Safe Throw might be an alternative. With AG 5, it's a 2+ to cancel an interception. Then he'll be the ultimate thrower.

If he only comes out on offense, he seems like a pretty expensive piece on a WE team.
But if that is your choice, then Safe Throw should make sure that you can score with little chance of failure in 1-2 turns, so he can get safely back on the bench.
The only other choice for that role is Sure Hands to save RRs.
Dodge however will make him more versatile, which I think you need more than a killer offensive specialist.

I wouldn't count AG+ out. An AG6 piece could easily dodge into a couple of tackle zones, pick up the ball and chuck it to safety.
Just a thought though...

Offense only, sure hands or kick off return, or safe pass. Those skills come into play each time he comes on the pitch. On defense would be an amazing pass blocker.

I do not like kick off return. That is a skill that you use once every drive.
I like dodge because you can use that EVERY turn (even the turn of your opponent). It goes very well with Ag5 for extreme movability. And it makes you live longer.
Dodge makes your thrower a piece that you can use in play and not only at the backfield. It gives you more options for the cost of the player.
He does not need kick off return. From where he picks up the ball, he can throw an easy pass to any player.

Just for arguements sake, kickoff return would allow your thrower to retrieve the ball and move out of blitz range from almost any team eliminating the need for dodge and countering the kick skill of your opponent without the need to pass or handoff that same turn. "Should" be a simple pass the following turn given the mv7 with no dodging required. Personally I like dodge expecially early league however mid to long term with all the tackle going around it's just not as good.
Once again that was just for arguments sake. Playing style should dictate the choice in skills.

Dodge or Sure Hands

Dodge or Safe Throw. If you always use him as an ace, maybe Catch.
I'd probably end up with Dodge.

Safe-Throw
AG5 makes it a 2+

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Safe Throw. It would make him the kill piece of the team and at 200k he's a snitch.
Normally I set him back 1 square in from the TD line (line 2 so to speak) I suppose if there was an awesome Move 9+ sprinter on the LOS wanting to take him down they can but haven't seen any yet.
The freedom to throw the ball may add a new dynamic to the team.

Or the +11 row, even.
