Hi,
i will go soon (next week) to a tournament (trophée de la licorne Nantes FR)and i plan to play skaven.
i played skaven only once before in tournaments, so i am kind of a rookie (with skaven)

the skills are 6 skills with 2 doubles and 1 (and only 1) player may have 2 skills
1 player also get leader for free.

here is the roster:
1Rat ogre
2 blitzers
4 gutters
1 thrower
5 inemen

2 rerolls
which skills would you preconize ?

Block as the double on the rat ogre, guard on both blitzers. Not sure what to do with the rest, possible block on all four gutter runners.

Personally I'd swap a linerat for an apo and then skill wise go:
block rat ogre with break tackle (block for the hits break tackle for the mobility)
block thrower (gives you a running game against strip ballers with block and sure hands and acts as third blitzer on defence)
guard stormvermin (to support other players)
tackle storm vermin (for dodgers or blodgers)
strip ball gutter runner (because dodging into a cage and throwing a half dice block with a strip balling gutter runner is great)

That rules pack has Skaven all over it! I agree with the block Rat Ogre and 2 x guard Storm Vermin. Horns/Stripball Gutter Runner for you 2 skill player would be a real cage breaker :D

Also, defo drop a lineman for apoth, 13 players is overkill and the apo will help you out when your opponent targets your gutter runners.

+1 Apothecary

Gutter Runner: Guard
Gutter Runner: Sidestep (great ball carrier when playing the clock, also very usable for OTS)
Gutter Runner: Sure Hands
Gutter Runner: Horns & Wrestle (most teams will have a Sure Hands ball carrier)

Storm Vermin: Guard
Storm Vermin: Leader (because AV8)

Good luck 8)

Block Rat Ogre
Wrestle/tackle Gutter Runner (because he will annoy the living feck out of opposing ball carriers)
Block Gutter Runner (because, y'know...Blodge)
Sidestep Gutter Runner (because it's annoying)
2 heads Gutter Runner (because dodging through TZs on 2s is FUNNEH.)

Note: I'm really poor with Skaven.

i really do not like this because cumulated with the wild animal roll you reach a 1/6 + 5/6*1/6 = 11/36 almost 1/3 odd to get your blitz screwed by the Rat ogre. (without counting the fact that a failed dodge means about a dead drive for the rat ogre)

the twoheaded gutter sounds good.
For now i plan to have
block on rat ogre
1 guard vermin
1 mightyclaw vermin
2 wrestle gutter

if i used the drop balling path i would go with
wrestle strip ball gutter and
the 2 headed gutter

for the apo topic, it looks like a consensus, i may give it a try, but my main concern is that the apo does not foul, the extra-linerat does.

As far as i know, scoring is not a big deal with gutters whatever else you have on the pitch (more than 6 players is better but not mandatory), but if you win the bash fest then you have more than a big advantage.
