Dark Elves after 2 games

Post by burglarboycie »

Hi all
I had my first couple of games with the MurderDolls the other night, lost my first game 2-1 against Wood Elves but managed to beat my mates very well developed Dwarves without suffering a single casualty!!!
I only managed to skill up 2 linemen and have taken Kick for one and Block for the other (they both only got normal rolls)
I also won 100k total from the 2 games and have thought about buying my 3rd re-roll straight away
What do people think of these choices?
I know that a reserve lineman, an Assassin or an apothecary and bank the remaining 50k towards a Witch Elf would maybe be a more sensible option but I would feel much safer playing with 3 re-rolls.
My team consists of 4 Blitzers, 1 Runner and 6 Linewomen, 2 Re-rolls and FF2
My next game will probably be a very well developed and successful Orc team.
Thanks in advance
James

Not a fan of the assassin but the other three sound good, would probably take the reroll since I also feel a little naked with only 2.

I would get wrestle on a couple of linemen, you already have a good amount of block.

I'd buy the Apothecary. I'd also give both Linemen Dodge.

Re-Roll is reasonable. I'd probably take the Apoth first. Then maybe a Re-Roll.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Apoth first. Would hurt losing a positional expecially one with spps. Maybe the rr next but I would go with a witch myself.

+1 for the Apoth. It will hopefully help keep your players alive in the upcoming game against the Orcs. A reroll would be nice, but maybe you can get one with your inducements if you are getting any.

my two cents....

How do you guys use the apothecary with Dark Elves? Save him in case a positional gets a Serious Injury or worse, or do you use him on a Badly Hurt or KO as well?

Early like this? The first BH, if it happens in the first several turns. After that, I save it for a death or statloss. As the team progresses I get more and more judicious.

Early game if it's a unskilled lineman, no brainer, he dies. A 100k positional I try and save.
Mid game, anything with skills. Cheap positionals still die.
Late game, unskilled, no spps lineman die unless it's last turn. Even then it depends what blocks are left.

I think TheAzman has a good point, I will have pleny of inducements to play with against the Orcs so may even be able to pick up a extra 2 re-rolls. In which case, I'm leaning towards the apo and banking the rest.
Thanks guys
James

Yeah go with the apo, better safe than sorry... Especially against developed orcs. For inducements go for wizard as first priority, you can really capitalize on a dropped ball.

I like some babes as well for inducements, I tend to have players camping in that KO box for a whole game.
TRR can be a game changer but I think a Wizard can do the same because it forces your opponent to keep in mind you still have the fireball/Zap ready. So I would advise to keep it until you really can score on the use of it or prevent a late score.
